MAFS EXCLUSIVE: Shock splits and secret boyfriend claims among scenes cut from reunion

Break-ups and exposed 'affairs' were just some of the juicy bits producers were forced to cut out.

If you thought Sunday night’s Married At First Sight reunion dinner party episode was explosive, Yahoo Lifestyle can reveal there was plenty more drama that happened during filming which producers were forced to edit out.

Among the incidents that didn't air on TV were another surprise split alongside Sara Mesa and Tim Calwell’s and a huge cheating allegation.

Jack's bombshell claim about Lauren's 'secret boyfriend'

He may have been one of the biggest ‘villains’ throughout the series, but Jack Dunkley barely appeared in the reunion dinner party episode – and Yahoo Lifestyle understands this is because most of what he said around the table couldn't be aired on TV.

“When Lauren was raging at Jono and Ellie, Jack started accusing Lauren of cheating throughout the experiment by having a secret boyfriend in Bali,” an insider shares.

“Lauren denied this, Jack had no evidence to back these claims up and producers cut the whole thing from the edit as it'd make no sense to viewers. Even as the cast sat down with the experts the day after, Jack was still talking about this and trying to ruin Lauren's reputation.”

Yahoo Lifestyle understands that the rumour started when Lauren admitted months earlier to sleeping with someone while on holiday in Bali before the experiment began.

Ridge and Jade's split and why they faked being together

Ridge Barredo and Jade Pywell may have appeared more loved up than ever during the reunion, but it is believed they secretly split up the day before and were forced to fake things on camera.

An insider tells Yahoo Lifestyle that in the month between filming their final vows and returning for the reunion, Ridge and Jade were “on-and-off and split many times” - including an alleged “huge fight” the night before the dinner party which left them both unsure of their future.

“Producers knew they were in the middle of a fight but it made no sense to bring that onto the show, so they were told to smile and fake it for the sake of giving viewers a happy ending,” the insider says.

It is understood Jade and Ridge went on to officially split in the weeks after filming the reunion, but have since reunited.
