MAFS EXCLUSIVE: Truth about Lauren's 'secret man' while filming
An insider says Lauren’s ‘holiday fling’ has been wildly blown out of proportion.
As if this year’s season hasn’t been filled with enough cheating scandals already, Married At First Sight’s Lauren Dunn has now been accused of having a “secret man” waiting for her outside the experiment.
An insider told New Idea this week that Lauren, who fans already know isn’t still with her match Jono McCullough thanks to a huge spoiler, was “pining after a mystery man” during filming.
According to the publication, Lauren met someone on holiday in Bali last year and was eager to pursue things but decided to “honour her commitments to doing MAFS”.
“Because Lauren had made it onto the show, she felt that she may as well make a go of things with whoever she was matched with,” the source shared.
“She’d apparently told friends that this guy in Bali was ‘perfect’ for her, but she was still very curious to see what type of man the experts would choose for her.”

An insider has since told Yahoo Lifestyle that Lauren’s “holiday fling” has been wildly blown out of proportion and what’s been reported is “far from the truth”.
“Lauren initially wasn’t going to do the show, she didn’t even sign her contract until the morning of her wedding,” they shared.
“She was open with Jono about the holiday romance when they were getting to know each other on the honeymoon like two strangers do when they start a new relationship. Heaven forbid she had a life before MAFS.”
The source continued: “It’s clear this rumour is being used against Lauren by people who are trying to deflect what’s going on in their own backyard. To discredit her because she keeps calling people out is such an immature childish tactic and never works.”

Before she went on MAFS - and before she had a “holiday fling” in Bali - Lauren was in a relationship with former AFL star Ryan Crowley for five and a half years.
The pair split in May last year, with Lauren telling PerthNow that the relationship “had simply run its course” but they “remain on good terms”.
A source close to the bride tells Yahoo Lifestyle that while she was fully committed to her MAFS experience, she was “understandably still processing the breakdown of her long-term relationship”.
“She thought she’d be with Ryan forever,” they add. “Her Bali rendezvous was simply a rebound.”

The PR maven is already tipped to be the breakout star of season 11, with fans labelling her “the best bride” to have ever appeared on the reality show.
“It will be Lauren who will do the best/get some gigs out of this show. She’s great talent,” one viewer commented.
