MAFS spoiler: Are Jade and Ridge still together?

Despite some initial concerns about his maturity levels, Married At First Sight intruders Jade Pywell and Ridge Barredo have had quite a strong start to the experiment.

26-year-old Jade, who is a single mother to a 7-year-old daughter, was pleasantly surprised with how her new husband responded to the news she has a child and felt hopeful about their future together.

“I am very happy with how today is going and very happy with my husband,” she said in her piece-to-camera interview at their wedding. “It is so comfortable being around someone who just jokes about everything and is really playful, and he’s also ready to settle down. I’m in my little love bubble at the moment.”

Meanwhile, 27-year-old Ridge told producers in his interview that he wasn’t phased at all that Jade had a daughter from a previous relationship.

“At the end of the day, I came here to look for something that’s going to last a lifetime,” he shared. “It’s still early, but there’s good energy and there’s good vibes.”

The pair continued to go from strength to strength at their honeymoon in Port Stephens, and Yahoo Lifestyle can now reveal that Jade and Ridge stayed together throughout the entire experiment and are still going strong today.

Not only do they currently follow each other on Instagram - something which a majority of their co-stars noticeably don’t do - but they also celebrated New Year’s Eve together.

One photo obtained by Yahoo Lifestyle shows Ridge leaning in to kiss Jade while standing on a balcony together.

It appears the couple are also currently enjoying a holiday to Bali together, with the pair both documenting their trip on their personal Instagram accounts.

Jade posted a photo of Ridge shoving his tongue in her mouth on Saturday night alongside the caption: "Married life takes first international holiday".

Meanwhile, Ridge adopted a corgi named Rufus in December and started an Instagram account for his new pet - which is also followed by Jade.

Ridge’s reality TV past

If you thought Ridge looked familiar during Tuesday night’s episode, it’s likely because MAFS isn’t the first reality dating show he’s appeared on.

As well as being a two-time Commonwealth Games weightlifter and working as a psychiatric nurse, Ridge appeared on First Dates in 2020 when he was 23 years old.

Though he didn't find love on his first go at a reality dating show, Ridge's sporting achievements boast greater success. The weightlifter competed in the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast and placed fifth at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
