Vampire

Judges Dannii Minogue and Jackie O, as well as fans online, were convinced up until the final reveal that Vampire was the I'm Outta Love hitmaker.

Her clues included “I do not fear the daylight”, which was a reference to her early record label, Daylight, “Werewolves fear gold, Vampires do not, we revel in it”, which viewers thought was about her famous gold sunglasses, and a picture of Freddie Mercury because she performed with Queen in 2003.

Dannii also pointed out that the word ‘resurrection’ appeared a number of times in the clue package, which translates to ‘Anastasia’ in Greek and is also the name of the pop star’s sixth studio album.

While the betting odds listed Vampire as the clear favourite, judges Dave Hughes and Urzila Carlson predicted that Vampire was Shakira and Sheryl Crow.

Dolly

Second place went to Dolly, who was unmasked to be comedian, singer and radio presenter Em Rusciano.

Judges Jackie, Dave and Urzila locked in their guesses as Ricki-Lee Coulter and Missy Higgins, while Dannii correctly guessed Em.

The clue “After missing my dream in Sydney, 2004 was when I made my mark” pointed to her rise to fame on season two of Australian Idol, while “Am I the queen? Yes, but also the joker” hinted at her being a queen of the airwaves and a successful comedian.

Em fought back tears when she was revealed on stage and described how much Dolly meant to her.

“I haven’t been able to sing live in 18 months,” she said. “I am a live performer so this has been magic. It’s put all the magic back into my blood. This has been the best experience of my life.”

Mullet

Mullet came in third place during Tuesday night’s epic finale and was revealed to be singer, actor and TV host Axle Whitehead.

Judges Dannii, Dave and Urzila each thought it was Samuel Johnson, Sam Worthington and Kelly Slater, while Jackie was correct with her guess of the Shameless star.

For weeks, fans online struggled to identify the celebrity, with many claiming that it was Jimmy Barnes or former Bachelor Nick ‘Honey Badger’ Cummins. Others guessed former AFL star Berto ‘Dipper’ DiPierdomenico, who was known for his signature mullet hairstyle.

After his reveal, Axle showed off how he had embraced his character of the Mullet by sporting the same hairstyle.

“It has been such a blast to get in touch with my inner bogan and be able to just take him on. What a character!” he said.

Ten other celebrities were revealed in the lead up to the grand finale, including Australia’s Got Talent winner Jack Vidgen, Killing Heidi’s lead singer Ella Hooper, singer and model Alli Simpson, Grammy-award winning performer Macy Gray, shock jock Kyle Sandilands, singing powerhouse Mahalia Barnes, football legend Lote Tuqiri, musician and actor Ben Lee, ex-MasterChef judge George Calombaris and former professional football player and actor Vinnie Jones.
