Leaked MAFS photos reveal what was cut from Jeff and Rhi’s wedding
EXCLUSIVE: Jeff Gobbels and Rhi Disljenkovic didn’t appear too happy to be paired together.
Married At First Sight viewers were left stunned watching Thursday night’s episode when it was revealed that Jeff Gobbels and Rhi Disljenkovic had previously dated. The couple were together for several months in 2023 before being paired by the show’s relationship experts, marking the second time this has happened this season after Paul Antoine and Carina Mirabile.
While Jeff and Rhi appeared somewhat relieved to have been matched on the show and were keen to put their past behind them, Yahoo Lifestyle has obtained paparazzi pictures taken during filming on July 25 that tell a different story.
Immediately after sharing their first kiss as husband and wife and walking off together, the pair quickly stopped holding hands and appeared unimpressed at what had happened.

Producers then separated the pair for private off-camera chats, with their body language again suggesting they were not happy to be blindsided by the reunion.
However, after a brief production break, filming resumed, and the pair were back to smiling and acting loved-up.
How do Jeff and Rhi already know each other?
A source tells Yahoo Lifestyle that the pair were seeing each other in mid-2023 after being introduced by a mutual friend, Australian Survivor star and TV presenter Abbey Holmes, but “never became official”.
Instagram posts shared during their time together show Jeff interacting with all of Rhi’s stunning selfies, and Yahoo Lifestyle can reveal that they also followed each other on Instagram before their MAFS wedding.
Since parting ways, the pair “kept in touch” and still attended the same group classes at their shared gym, Hurt Locker Richmond.
Major moment edited out of Jeff and Rhi’s wedding
Although it wasn't addressed in the episode, Yahoo Lifestyle revealed back in July that Jeff and Rhi’s wedding descended into chaos after a bushfire disrupted filming and sent producers into a panic.
The fire was likely controlled back burning, however, a production insider told us that things quickly got “out of control” as the flames grew bigger and bigger.
“The ceremony had to be delayed and everyone was in a panic,” the source said. “Guests were coughing and the bride’s limo had to circle around for over an hour. They couldn’t even get the limo through because fire engines were blocking the road.”

The source added that producers were “worried” because the ceremony, which took place in the picturesque location of Middle Head overlooking Sydney Harbour, was being blanketed in smoke.
“No one was quite sure what was happening,” they continued. “Producers were overheard asking one another, ‘What are we going to do?’. It was a total mess.”
