MAFS bride Sierah Swepstone's past reality TV appearance resurfaces

From influencers and actors to TikTok creators and former reality stars, this year’s season of Married At First Sight is filled with plenty of familiar faces. One participant hoping to find love in the experiment is Sierah Swepstone, who many fans will recognise from her previous TV experience.

Sierah, who is paired with UK groom Billy Belch, was a contestant on Jimmy Nicholson’s season of The Bachelor in 2021. Her appearance on MAFS marks the first time a Bachelor contestant has signed up to be a participant on the rival dating series.

In case you need a refresher, Sierah finished 11th place on Jimmy’s season and attended four group dates before being sent home in episode eight. While she may not have formed a romantic connection on the show, she had quite a memorable exit when she remarked that Jimmy mustn’t be into “tall, horny bogans” like herself.

Jimmy spoke to Yahoo Lifestyle following Sierah’s cast announcement in July and admitted he’s excited to watch Sierah’s return to reality TV.

“There is more than meets the eye to Sierah,” he shared, adding that viewers didn’t get to see her whole personality on The Bachelor and there’s “much more depth” to her story.

“She’s also hilarious and will make for some great viewing. I wish her all the best with it.”

Who is Sierah Swepstone?

Outside of her previous reality TV experience, Sierah is a 31-year-old financial associate advisor from Victoria. She describes herself as “outspoken, brazen and resilient” and has had little experience of relationships.

Sierah entered the experiment looking for a kind, caring, compassionate man who she could fall in love with for the first time. She wants to share her life with a man and plan a future, but has extremely high standards and “doesn’t put up with any nonsense”.

Sierah isn’t the only participant on this year's season of MAFS who has TV experience under her belt, with Paul Antoine previously appearing on Channel 10’s short-lived reality show The Real Love Boat in 2022.

Intruder groom Teejay Halkias also competed on Big Brother in 2023, while Jeff Gobbels appeared in three episodes of Neighbours in 2017 as police officer Kurt Bridges.
