MAFS' Eliot to return to show in bombshell twist: 'Blindsided'

Married At First Sight suffered its first walkout during Wednesday night's episode as Eliot Donovan sensationally walked out on his new wife Lauren Hall during their honeymoon after making it clear she didn't live up to his long list of requirements and values. The biggest issues in contention for Eliot appeared to be Lauren's age (two years older than him), the fact she had a career, and he also found her superficial citing her designer luggage as an example.

As opposed to, you know, judging someone on their age, looks, and career. Moving on...

Yahoo Lifestyle can reveal that Eliot's exit is not the last we'll see of the controversial groom after all, with MAFS set to air a bombshell twist where both Lauren and Eliot will return to the experiment as intruders with brand new partners.

Lauren and Eliot set to go head to head at dinner party

A source says, "Producers felt so sorry for Lauren they instantly started trying to find her a new match, and she was under the impression that only she’d be returning as Eliot made it clear he wanted nothing to do with the show anymore.

“But after filming her second wedding and re-joining the experiment at a dinner party, she was blindsided as Eliot also walked in with a new wife.”

Things are said to get explosive between the pair when they meet again face-to-face at a dinner party.

The intruder weddings were filmed at the end of August, which means the pair will re-enter the experiment in week four. Yahoo Lifestyle has previously revealed that Lauren will be matched with pro-golfer Clint Rice, while Eliot is set to be matched with actress Veronica Cloherty.

Real reason why Eliot left Lauren

Yahoo Lifestyle revealed earlier this week that several off-camera things happened in the hours between the ceremony ending and the pair waking up the following morning.

Firstly, as Eliot left the ceremony to ride the limo back to the couples’ hotel, creator of MAFS Funny page Joshua Fox crashed their exit and revealed a secret about his bride that producers had planned to bring up later in the season.

In footage shared to social media in July, Joshua is seen telling Eliot that Lauren is the ex-girlfriend of Jonathan McCullough, who appeared on season 10 of the show.

Although Eliot didn’t respond, he didn’t look particularly happy by the news and as he processed it, it’s believed he started to feel he was being “stitched up” by producers in some way.
