Farmer Wants A Wife fans believe Caitlin Crank may have ruined her chances with Farmer Bert after she told his friends that Karli Hinkley is 'high maintenance' and that she is better suited to the pineapple farmer.

While speaking to the camera as the girls prepare to meet Bert's friends, Caitlin says, "Karli’s gonna struggle the most getting ready. She’s always really concerned about what she looks like. She puts fake tan on every morning and straightens her hair before she comes out of the bedroom. She stresses out about her outfits.

"I do wonder if that’s the kind of person Bert wants to be with – high-maintenance. My hope is Bert’s friends get to see the real side of Karli."

"I feel strong in my connection with Bert," Karli is seen saying. "I honestly just don’t wanna leave his side."

"Does he want a mate who can hang out with the boys? Or someone more feminine? A lady," she adds.

When they do eventually meet Bert's friends, the girls find out that they will be choosing the person Bert goes on his next single date with. Cue the ladies trying to sell themselves to his friends.

Caitlin appears annoyed at seeing Karli with Bert's friends and tells the camera, "I think Karli’s behaviour is a little bit different today. It’s not as intense. I do feel like Karli does change to be well suited for Bert."

Speaking to his friends, Caitlin makes the comment that she may live to regret, saying, "I consider myself easygoing — don’t care if I have make-up on."

"But Karli always takes so long to get ready — straightening her hair, doing her make-up. She has to put fake tan on every night. And I don’t know if Bert likes that kind of person or if he likes more of an easygoing kind of person."

Caitlin's 'undoing'

Fans shared their thoughts on the comments, with one Facebook user saying, "That was her undoing, should never have said it."

"It was the truth but she should have kept it to herself," another added. "Made her look desperate and vindictive."

"No need for Caitlin to tell his mates, made her look catty and it backfired," a third said.

"Ooooh Caitlin… Bagging Karli out to Bert’s mates is desperate," one user wrote on X. "You don’t need to be desperate FFS!!! Karli will dig her own grave in time."

"Caitlin. Why? We thought you were cool, but bitchin to dudes about Karli is a bad look," another wrote.

Others said that it was "rude" and that she "shot herself in the foot".

"Farmer Bert was really sweet and it was sad to see him being treated like a prop. These two male producers had come from filming FBoy Island and obviously wanted conflict," the insider says, adding this was not what Bert signed up for.

"He actually felt uncomfortable with his producers and their suggestions on how to handle the remaining women," the source said, claiming this was the reason he left. "He no longer felt like he could go on and pretend just for the show."
