Disney Child Star From Hit 70s Movies Dies at 60
Christian Juttner, a child star who appeared in multiple films and TV shows in the 1970s, died at 60, his family announced.
Juttner appeared in the films Return From Witch Mountain, I Wanna Hold Your Hand and The Swarm, which all premiered within a five month period in 1978.
Juttner passed away from natural causes on Nov. 29 at his home in Yucca Valley, California, his daughter told The Hollywood Reporter.
In addition to his film work, Juttner appeared in the first season of ABC’s The Bionic Woman from 1976 to 1977
His mother, Marlene, first got him interested in acting. His first credit is for a 1972 episode of Bewitched, another ABC show.
Juttner also acted in The Magical World of Disney and some episodes of ABC Afterschool Specials, Emergency!, The Rookies, Ironside, Medical Center, Wonder Woman, Lou Grant and Alice.
In his later life, he worked with his father in St. Croix and had a glassworks business in Southern California. He also worked in special effects makeup.
Juttner is survived by Marlene, his daughter Aidan, ex-wife Ann, daughter Ryan, son Lucas and sister Shelley.
