Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin officially put those breakup rumors to rest with a rare PDA-filled date night in India.

On Friday, the couple—whose relationship has been under a microscope for the past several months—were photographed holding hands and smiling while taking a romantic stroll in Mumbai, where Martin is playing multiple shows over the next few days with his Coldplay bandmates for their sold-out Music of the Spheres World Tour

In photos exclusively obtained by People, Johnson and Martin mastered couple's style in coordinating casual looks. For her part, the actress wore a black tank dress with a striped button-down tried around her waist. She accessorized with black sneakers and a matching baseball cap. Meanwhile, Martin sported a similar monochromatic color scheme, opting for a long-sleeved charcoal gray shirt, black sweatpants, and a black hat that read "Kiiid."

This summer, speculation that Johnson and Martin split began to swirl after the Madame Web star was spotted without her engagement ring in Los Angeles. However, Johnson's rep denied that the pair had broken up, revealing that she and Martin were still "happily together."  A few months later, Martin seemingly squashed the rumors during a December 2024 interview with Rolling Stone, calling Johnson one of his "best friends."

“Phil [Harvey], Dakota, Jonny [Buckland], Will [Champion] and Guy [Berryman],” he said, shouting out Johnson, his bandmates and the band’s manager, before adding: “My kids.” Martin shares two children—daughter Apple, 20, and son Moses, 18—with his ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow.

When asked directly about Johnson, Martin refused to go into detail, saying "it’s not just his story to tell." But he did offer this: “It is important to say that [romantic love] is such a big factor in everything, even though it feels right to keep it precious and private; I’m not denying its power."
