After an insider told Yahoo Lifestyle that they believed Farmer Tom Boyer and Sarah Cranley would be the first Farmer Wants A Wife couple to announce their split after the show, the sad news has officially come straight from Sarah.

The reality star shared a lengthy post with pictures of the crew members, as well as many of herself and the other girls on Tom's farm, but no solo snaps of the couple.

She wrote: "Officially closing my chapter on FWAW Season 14! My decision to go on a dating show came as a big surprise to a lot of my family and friends, and was a significant commitment of time away from my normal life. It was pretty scary putting myself out there like that.

"I applied to FWAW with the sole intention of falling in love with Tom and I certainly surprised myself with how deeply I felt for him in a short amount of time. Unfortunately, that lifelong love that I was seeking with Tom did not turn out the way that I had hoped it would, but it's definitely a relief now to put that truth out there that Tom and I are no longer together."

Sarah then added a rather telling detail that the relationship didn't end on a good note, writing, "Relationships don't always work and people are not always who you think they are. I can hold the knowledge that I gave my all to the experience and our relationship during, and since, the show, and I am really proud of that.

"I believe that no love is ever wasted, and I'm so glad that I can still give that love to the beautiful family and friends in my life who supported me so much all the way through, plus a few more friends thanks to this experience! I feel so lucky to have met a bunch of women who were brave and beautiful, inside and out."

Sarah also shared a tribute to Krissy Smith, Tom's runner-up, writing, "To Krissy in particular - you have become one of my greatest friends, I don't know what I would have done without you. One of my kids at work recently asked if we were enemies and I just had to laugh! We were roommates, friends, competitors, confidants, hype girls and everything in between, but certainly not enemies 💛."

She continued the lengthy statement, adding, "There were ups and downs - many that didn't make it to your screens - but I hope that anyone following along enjoyed it. I have learnt a lot in the last few months, and my confidence in myself has grown enormously. I am so incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of this experience and for the awesome ladies and crew that I had the pleasure of spending time with.

"Life goes on and I will forever be a hopeless romantic. I can't wait to try again for the partner and lasting love that I know I deserve. Who knows what the world has in store for me next... 🤍."

If Sarah's statement wasn't enough to suggest things didn't end well between her and Tom, Krissy added fuel to the fire by commenting, "Sarah ❤️ so perfectly said! You should hold your head and heart so high, chick. I couldn’t have asked to go through what we did with anyone else!

"I could write a novel about how incredible you are and how deserving of a big, fulling and romantic love you are but you know already! I’m proud you are standing up for what you deserve and nothing less! Bigger and wayyy better things are coming xxx."

Farmer Dustin's runner-up Anna Wilson also commented on the post, writing, "Beautifully said 💛 you should be so proud of yourself Sarah ⭐️."

Sophie Trethowan, who ended up with Farmer Dustin, added, "Should be so proud of yourself Sarah! You are such a lovely girl who deserves the absolute best! 💕."

One of Sarah's friends commented, "Couldn’t be prouder 🥹 Glad I’m not losing you to a farm anytime soon though 🤠🌾🚜."

"Aww no. I was definitely team Sarah and was hoping you and Tom would go all the way I am sad for you it hasn't worked out 😢," one fan wrote.

Our insider revealed to us last week that Farmer Tom was pressured into finishing the show early and choosing Sarah.

"While they are still trying to make a go of things Sarah has been bitten by the travel bug after a planned trip to Japan shortly after filming. I think that she isn't really ready to settle down forever yet and Farmer Tom is better matched with someone a bit older than him."

She adds, "I'd say they will be the first to announce it did not work out. Maybe if he had gone to Japan with her things would be different but he is very much stationed on the farm."

So sad!
