Expert predicts Meghan and Harry's next move after 'divorce meeting' claim
Kinsey Schofield tells Yahoo Lifestyle the pair are likely in 'crisis management meetings' following wild claims in Vanity Fair.
A royal expert has revealed to Yahoo Lifestyle what Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's next moves might be after a bombshell cover story published by Vanity Fair about the couple. The article featured several damning allegations, including claims Meghan could become "cold and withholding" if things didn't go to plan on her podcast, and that Harry didn't realise the "gravity" of releasing his memoir, Spare. Other allegations included that Harry didn't "want to be famous the way Meghan wants to be famous".
One claim in particular that caused major headlines, was that the Duchess of Sussex's team had a 'conversation' with a publishing house about the potential for a book from the former actress "post-divorce". A source told the publication that the book was not to be about her previous divorce from Trevor Engelson, but from Harry. However, they add that this meeting was not because the pair were on the road to divorce, but to see if the publisher would "theoretically be interested" should they one day break up.
Another source said, "If that’s true to any degree, [Meghan] would have been approached and not vice versa."
Vanity Fair also added that the publisher never made an offer because there was no manuscript as there wasn't a divorce to write about.
Meghan and Harry likely in 'crisis management meetings'
Royal expert and host of the To Di For Daily podcast, Kinsey Schofield, tells Yahoo Lifestyle, "I imagine that there are crisis management meetings taking place behind the scenes. In December of 2024, Meghan’s team was whispering to their contacts at Page Six that 2025 was going to be all about the Markle Sparkle.

"I don’t think 2025 got the memo… and now her team has one month to desperately try to change the narrative to attract viewers to her Netflix show and much needed positive press."
Meghan postponed the release of her Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, from January 15 to March 4 due to the devastating wildfires in LA.
In a statement, Meghan shared, "I’m thankful to my partners at Netflix for supporting me in delaying the launch, as we focus on the needs of those impacted by the wildfires in my home state of California."
What other claims were in the Vanity Fair article about Meghan and Harry?

How Meghan and Harry will hit back at bombshell claims
Speaking of how Meghan and Harry will put on a united front after the somewhat scathing Vanity Fair story, Kinsey tells us, "Meghan will be attending The Invictus Games next month with Prince Harry in Canada. You will see a lot of smiling and hand-holding and flirty glances towards each other as they both take the microphone to speak to the competitors and their families.
"Invictus is where they develop a lot of their marketing materials that they use to sell themselves. Beautiful still images and fawning videos of hugs and laughter."
"The videos and images are used throughout the years to promote their charitable efforts and in years past, they’ve used a photo from Invictus as their Christmas card."

She added, "They will put on a real 'no divorce book' show there. They will likely take advantage of the fact that they will be there on Valentine’s Day."
"If I were them, I would be a little more self-deprecating and address the rumour through humour. One of the public’s issues with them is that they take themselves too seriously."
