The Purple Wiggle and Red Wiggle admitted that their children aren't very interested in their day jobs.

While most parents can keep their kids entertained with The Wiggles, the children's entertainers have revealed it's a very different story for them! Red Wiggle, Simon Pryce, and Purple Wiggle, Lachy Gillespie, have revealed their own children aren't all that keen on The Wiggles.

"Asher has no interest at all in watching The Wiggles... none!" Simon told the Mum Club podcast of his toddler. "I don't know. He just never really [got into it]. He loves going to the live shows. He really enjoys that, but he's actually never really wanted to watch it on TV that much."

Asher's favourites are instead shows like Fireman Sam and Paw Patrol, with Simon saying, "All those very boy-heavy shows Asher is right into. And Spider-Man is just taking over! Now he's never watched Spider-Man but it must be daycare, now we've got the Spider-Man outfit, talks about Spidey and does his webs."

Lachy, who is the father of four-year-old twin daughters and the stepdad of his wife Dana Stephensen's son Jasper, says his children crave one-on-one time with him rather than TV time.

"We're right in the moment now where you want to start spending, I think this about the age where you want to start spending one-on-one time with them and they've actually started asking for that," he explained.

It makes sense that his kids would want that time, given that The Wiggles are on the road so many weeks a year.

Lachy and Simon also shared that they created their own podcast, Wiggle Talk, so they can interact more with other parents.

"We're on the road so much that we don't actually get to interact with a lot of parents," Lachy said of the podcast. "It's just really nice and it's actually a great way of actually talking to our audience."

"We're just different extensions of ourselves. But we just wanted to give people an insight into our lives as parents and hopefully give some helpful advice - for ourselves as well as anyone who's going to listen."

This week, Lachy and Simon released an episode of their podcast, but were surprised when they thought their producer was about to play audio of their listeners and it was instead their own children saying, "Happy Father's Day."

"I love you daddy," one of Lachy's daughters said, with Jasper adding, "Happy Father's Day Lachy, thank you for playing all the sport with me, I love you."

Lachy was clearly taken by surprise and broke down in tears upon hearing the sweet messages,

Simon's son is then heard saying, "Hi Daddy, I love you so much, thank you for taking me to toys, happy Father's Day, I love you."

"Well, I didn't expect that at all, I can't believe it," Simon said. "Oh that was so beautiful, I don't know how that happened."

Lachy's wife commented on the video on Instagram, writing, "Just beautiful, two wonderful dads who give their absolute all to everything. We love you so much @lachy_wiggle 💜."

"Lachy!!! You made me cry!! You guys are all amazing ♥️," one user added.

"Awww Lachy 💜 now I’m gonna cry here at my desk, this is too sweet," another said.

"Omg now I’m crying 💜," a third said.

"Oh, my heart 🥺 it's moments like this we live for as parents 💜," someone else said.
