Katie Holmes Stuns in a Little Black Dress in Rare Glam Appearance
Katie Holmes, who tends to live a relaxed and low-key life in New York City, got all glammed up to attend a rare public event, arriving at a cocktail party in a strapless black dress.
The actress attended a Michael Kors cocktail party on Feb. 3 to celebrate the launch of the Madison Avenue store opening, which was hosted at Bemelmans Bar at The Carlyle Hotel.
Holmes looked radiant in a simple yet elegant ensemble based around a strapless black dress. She added a matching black jacket on top, along with tights and black pointed heels, accessorizing with a small black purse and dangling earrings, Her hair was styled in an updo with a few pieces framing her face, while she had on a soft makeup look.
The actress looked happy to be at the event, socializing with a variety of celebrities in attendance. This included The Traitors host Alan Cumming, Iman, and actors like Sutton Foster and Cristin Milioti.
This is a rare sighting for Holmes, as she doesn't often attend star-studded public parties like this. She is frequently spotted walking around New York City in casual wear and staying under the radar.
Recently, Holmes paid tribute to the cast and crew of the Broadway revival of Our Town, which ended its run on Jan. 19. The 46-year-old played Mrs. Webb in the production, while Jim Parsons played Stage Manager, Zoey Deutch played Emily Webb and Ephraim Sykes portrayed George Gibbs, among other notable talents.
The revival was a huge success, making over $1 million at the Broadway box office during its last week of performances, as reported by Playbill. Next up for Holmes, she is set to appear in the long-awaited second season of Poker Face on Peacock.
