People Are Sharing The Worst Ending To A Date They've Had, And Ooof, Some Of These Are Pretty Bad
Needless to say, dating can be tough. For every one good date, you usually have like three bad ones. This can be especially frustrating if things seem to be going well only for it to take a sharp turn and the date ends on a not great note.
Recently, Redditor experimental-record wanted to know about those bad dates when they asked: "What’s been the worst ending to a date you’ve had?"
The thread got a ton of responses, and some of them were just, well...oof. Below are the top and best comments:
."Him letting me know he was married. 'But she's cool with it.' Ughh!!!"
."One time, I got hooked up on a blind date by a coworker with my ex-wife, who was still seeing the guy she left me for but wanted to test the waters. I..."
."I had a guy who stayed over at my place. In the morning, he started reciting his extremely long and terrible Harry Potter poetry. He told me if we'd do this more often, he'd write me poetry for every morning we wake up together. I did not invite him back."
."It was the second date. I held the door open for a woman who came in with her child. Then, out of nowhere, my date accused me of checking out other women. She completely lost it, started yelling at me, called me an asshole who stares at other women, and took off. Well, that was that 😅."
."I had to call his mom to let her know her son had appendicitis, and until she showed up, I had medical proxy."
."Went on a blind date set up by a female friend of mine. Hit it off real good with her. She ended up at my house, and we did the deed. We agreed it was only a one time and we would see if it would go from there. She ended up sneaking out and emptied my wallet on the way out."
."He checked his phone the entire time and barely spoke."
."Met a guy online. Chatted for a week or two before meeting in person. The date went really well. He texted me the next day, saying he was really just looking for casual sex. When I said I wasn't interested in that he asked if I had any friends who might be."
."Honestly, a tie between one bringing her sister for a blind double date and ditching the three of us after 10 minutes at a bar or the girl that pushed me down a flight of stairs in panic because she saw a cockroach."
."The initial date went well. Ended up back at her place, we fooled around, and I slept over. I guess dinner wasn’t sitting well in my stomach, so I got up to head home at about 2 a.m. As I was putting my shoes on I knew I wasn’t gonna make it so I as quietly as I could used her one bathroom. I clogged the toilet, and she didn’t have a plunger anywhere in the house. It was not my proudest moment, but I dipped out, blocked her, and never spoke to her again. Hopefully, she has a plunger now for her future endeavors."
."Drove 45 minutes to her place to pick her up — she wanted to go to a bar near me so it was 45 minutes back. We go into the bar, pay the cover, get a drink, and she says, 'I don't want to date you.' That was a very uncomfortable silent drive back to her place."
."At the end of the date, they said to me, 'I'm not into you physically, and I don't like your personality.' Surprisingly enough, we never saw each other again. I bet you all did not see that coming."
."Asked a girl out on a date to the movies when I was 17. Two days later, I got to the theater early to buy both our tickets and waited. She texted saying 'here' and I started getting butterflies in anticipation. Then I saw her...holding hands...with a girl. In 48 hours, she got a new GF, and they spent the whole time making out. If it wasn't for the fact we saw Jackass 3D, I probably would've been crying the whole time."
."We went and had Starbucks. She pressed questions about my ex, made me cry, and then said I was talking too much about her. Would have been a good time otherwise, but she was also grabby."
."He told me he loved me. Met him off of Hinge and only exchanged a few texts beforehand. During our date, he said, 'Wouldn’t it be crazy to say that this feels perfect right now, and I want to say I love you…' and then said it 30 minutes later. We were one hour into our date."
."We went out for dinner (this was not a first date), and he went to pay, and his card was declined. No problem, I paid. It was raining when we left the restaurant, and a car drove by, which soaked us both. My place was closer, so we went back there to get dried off. We started making out on the couch, and then he nutted all over my leg. He then got up to go to the bathroom and just...left."
.And lastly, "He called me by his ex's name mid-kiss... damn!"
