The Project host derails show with X-rated joke: 'Funniest thing I've seen'

The Project’s Kate Langbroek left her co-hosts in stitches during Tuesday night’s broadcast with an X-rated joke that viewers have labelled the “funniest thing” they’ve ever seen on the show. The comedian and TV presenter made the hilarious comment after Sarah Harris introduced a news story about constipation.

“A British doctor claims to have the answer for constipation,” she told viewers. “He says making an elongated ‘moo’ that sounds like a horny cow can help, and if mooing in the office toilet isn’t an option, you can always pretend to blow bubbles.”

While Sam Taunton was baffled by the idea of “making a horny cow noise” in the toilet cubicle at work, Kate was more interested in the suggestion of ‘blowing bubbles’.

“Also, who is bubbles?” she asked while keeping a straight face. “So many questions!”

Her co-hosts appeared confused at first before realising her racy double entendre and bursting into laughter.

Sarah held back tears and hid her face with her hand as she laughed and Sam remarked: “That’s good clean fun, that’s what that is right there.”

Viewers in stitches over hilarious comment

Viewers at home also couldn’t stop giggling at the hilarious remark, with one person writing: “I was eating dinner when I watched this and spat it out in a fit of laughter!”

“Omg Kate I nearly fell off the lounge,” another added, while a third said, “This was the funniest thing I’ve seen on @theprojecttv in over 10 years!”.

“Nice one Kate! We all burst out laughing!” someone else commented, followed by a different user who replied, “Keep it going Kate we need laughter”.

“@katelangbroek is an absolute crack up, need her on more often,” another fan shared, with others calling it “brilliant” and “the best comment”.

Sam's awkward joke falls flat

The wild moment comes just a few days after Sam Taunton left his co-hosts speechless when he made a joke about the death of UnitedHealthcare chief executive Brian Thompson.

The comedian, who joined the panel last year, was speaking about how Monopoly money was found inside what’s believed to have been the gunman’s backpack in Central Park.

“Well let’s hope there’s not a ‘get out of jail free’ card in that backpack, cause he might go free,” he joked.

A few audience members laughed along but the panel remained silent, with Steve Price eventually saying: “That’s nice.”

“Thanks, Pricey,” he replied, while Sarah added, “Thanks for bringing it home for us Sammy”.
