Chris Hemsworth was in Sydney on Wednesday night at the premiere of his newest film Transformers One, which marks the Aussie heartthrob's first voice role, playing Optimus Prime. When speaking to The Project about the film, he was asked about what makes a voice role different to a live-action role, and the Thor star's answer was a little surprising.

"This is the first animated film you have done. It almost seems a crime to keep your face off the screen, did anything surprise you about the role?" Sam Taunton asked the star.

"It was just fun, I recorded this in my house, so I could go down there in my jocks and record most of this film," Chris joked. "So, when you listen to it, or you watch this film, you can imagine that if it helps."

"Weirdly, that really does help, Chris, it really does," Sam quipped.

"I think we have some – do we have vision of that?" Sarah Harris joked.

"No, because we can't record your mind," Waleed Aly hit back at his co-host.

Chris joked that there's footage of it in the "closing credits".

Waleed then mistakenly called Chris' character "Optimus Crime", with Sarah joking, "You made him flustered when you talked about your underwear before, Chris."

"He's blushing!" one of the co-hosts is heard saying off-camera.

"Definitely Optimus Crime in his underwear, he runs through the –" Chris began, with Waleed adding, "It would be quite painful metallic underwear – anyway, I'm stopping talking about this!"
