Sarah Harris' brutal response after Shark Tank enlists surprising new narrator
EXCLUSIVE: The Project star has quietly been replaced as host of the reality show.
She was the original host of Shark Tank Australia from 2015 to 2018, returning as the narrator for the show’s fifth season when it was rebooted in 2023. However, The Project’s Sarah Harris has quietly left the reality show this year.
Fans tuning in to see aspiring entrepreneurs pitching their business ideas to a panel of investors have noticed that the popular series is now narrated by another Channel 10 presenter: Osher Günsberg. The former Bachelor and Masked Singer host, who has worked for the network for over two decades, took on the role without any formal announcement online.
Osher’s new role hasn’t been advertised on his Instagram, promoted on Shark Tank’s official social media accounts, or mentioned in the credits, and the show’s Wikipedia page still lists Sarah as the host at the time of writing.

When contacted by Yahoo Lifestyle about her decision to leave Shark Tank Australia this season, Sarah had a rather surprising response.
“It wasn’t my decision. They just never asked me back! Lol,” she said.
Yahoo Lifestyle has contacted Osher Günsberg and Channel 10 for comment.
Osher's career at Channel 10
Ever since he began hosting Australian Idol in 2003, Osher Günsberg has been a mainstay on Channel 10. From being a contestant on shows like Thank God You’re Here and Ready Steady Cook to making cameo appearances on dramas such as Offspring and Neighbours, the TV personality has popped up on just about every program on the network.
Osher is perhaps best known for hosting every season of The Bachelor Australia franchise since it launched in 2013, including its spinoffs The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise. He also began hosting The Masked Singer Australia in 2019, ditching his signature ‘Bachelor whisper’ to scream ‘Take it off!’.
Recently, however, it was announced that both The Bachelor and The Masked Singer had been “rested” in 2024. A Channel 10 spokesperson confirmed the news in May, saying: “Network 10 will be packing away the masks and roses this year.”
In addition to his new role on Shark Tank, Osher has stayed contracted to the network with his work on Bondi Rescue, which he has narrated since season one in 2006.
Osher speaks out about The Bachelor being 'rested'
Following news that both The Masked Singer and The Bachelor franchises had been axed from Channel 10’s 2024 program schedule, Osher appeared on 2DAY FM's Hughesy, Ed and Erin Show saying that it was simply the nature of the job.
“This is the gig that I chose,” he remarked. "This is the job I chose. I'm still busy building a very large independent podcast empire, I've written my second book, and I'm busy doing things.
“I've been a freelancer for a long time, and anyone in a freelance gig knows this is the nature of it. The industry is moving around, and things are repositioning. You gotta be able to move ahead, move with it, and be nimble.”
