Prior to her rumored split from Stranger Things actor David Harbour, British singer Lily Allen supposedly got creative when trying to see if Harbour was being unfaithful.

According to the Daily Mail, Allen made an account on the high-profile dating app Raya to see if Harbour, who gained global recognition for his portrayal of Jim Hopper in the Netflix science-fiction series, was looking for other women.

Through her account, she found his profile on the app, and could see that he had been active.

“Lily was looking for women that were on Raya and cross-referencing them with women David follows on Instagram to try to figure out who he was seeing,” a friend of Allen’s told the tabloid.

According to screenshots of his profile, the 49-year-old actor listed himself as living in Atlanta, Georgia, and visiting New York. “Closet nerd that plays tough guys on your TV,” his bio on the app read.

Ironically, Allen and Harbour originally met each other on the app in 2019 before tying the knot in 2020.

The Daily Mail was the first to break the news of their split after five years last week, but neither Allen nor Harbour has commented publicly.

“Lily has never even looked at anyone since she met David. She is devastated. He broke up with Lily a month ago. He was meant to be on holiday with her in Kenya over Christmas,” another source said.

“The last few months have been truly agony for Lily. He finally called it off a month ago and she is devastated,” another friend added.

Prior to the breakup, Harbour wasn’t afraid to get candid about their relationship.

“I married a beautiful, incredible woman who I love,” Harbour told People back in 2020. “I have never met someone who is so deeply kind as her. I’ve never felt so taken care of and cared for by another human being.”

The actor even gushed about his new role as a stepfather to Allen’s two daughters, Ethel and Marnie, she shares with her ex Sam Cooper.

“But I do remember meeting the kids, and having breakfast with the kids, and being scared, and then almost immediately falling in love with them, like, in love with them, and feeling that thing that people talk about when they have kids, like: Wow, I want to take care of you beyond myself, I would do anything for you, give you anything,” Harbour shared on a July episode of Allen’s podcast Miss Me?.
