Angelina Jolie Goes Sheer in Bedazzled McQueen Gown With Daughter Zahara for Golden Globes 2025 Red Carpet

Angelina Jolie made a sparkling arrival at the Golden Globes 2025 on Sunday in Los Angeles. She wore a bedazzled long-sleeve dress with a sheer panel and streaks of sequins in black and silver all over. The actress was accompanied her daughter Zahara Jolie, who wore a white dress featuring a sequined cherry tree-inspired pattern. Both looks were from McQueen.

Jolie was nominated for a Golden Globe for her performance as opera icon Maria Callas in Pablo Larraín’s “Maria,” available to stream on Netflix. Callas was known as one of the greatest opera singers in history. Christian Dior and Yves Saint Laurent were notable fans and collaborators of her.

During the press tour of the film, Jolie channeled old Hollywood glamour in classic silhouettes, often favoring black gowns and silky fabrics.

On Saturday, Jolie attended W Magazine’s Golden Globes party in a black Celine gown.

Jolie has won three Golden Globe Awards: in 1998 for Best Supporting Actress — Television for “George Wallace,” in 1999 for Best Actress in a Miniseries or Television Film for “Gia” and in 2000 for Best Supporting Actress — Motion Picture for “Girl, Interrupted.”

Jolie’s last appearance on the Golden Globes red carpet before this year happened in 2018 when she joined the “blackout” red carpet in a black dress. That year, celebrity guests went black on the ceremony’s red carpet to show solidarity with the Time’s Up movement.

The 2025 Golden Globes ceremony celebrates over eight decades of honoring entertainment excellence. Broadcast on CBS and hosted by Nikki Glaser, this year’s event featured 27 categories, including drama, comedy and limited series.
