Have you ever felt guilty tossing out half-used candles? You’re not the alone. One creative Kmart shopper has come up with an inventive solution that turns leftover wax into brand-new candles, saving some cash as well as being a big tick for the environment. This clever hack has been a hit online, with some even calling it the 'best Kmart hack ever.'

The savvy shopper shared her game-changing idea in an online group, revealing how she transformed the $10 Kmart noodle maker into a candle wax remelting station. Instead of throwing away half-used candles, she repurposes the leftover wax into fresh new candles by melting it down in the noodle maker. Fellow Kmart fans are loving the clever use of the humble kitchen gadget.

The process is actually pretty simple, with the enthusiastic DIYer sharing, "I’m not even a noodle fan, but I adore my DUSK candles. When they burn out, I save the scraps and use my mini noodle maker to remelt the wax. Then, I refill the old jars and even the original candle containers! It’s a total game changer. No more half-used candles going to waste!"

She also offered a handy tip: “Just make sure to sit your glass jars in hot water before pouring the hot wax to prevent cracking.”

Group members were immediately on board with the idea. “OMG, you have no idea how much I need this in my life, on it ASAP!” exclaimed one.

Another added, “Such a great idea! I save all my used-up candles because there’s so much wax left, but I didn’t know how to melt it down. Definitely trying this!”

“I used to do this on the stove, but it was such a hassle. The mini noodle maker is perfect and mess-free!”

“I think this is possibly the most useful Kmart hack I've ever read! You are a legend. I'm off to Kmart tomorrow to get this and save all my candle leftovers. Wow, game changer, thank you!” someone else gushed.

“That is a serious hack! Love your work!”

“This is genius!” another user exclaimed.

Of course, no good hack is without a few safety pointers. A candle-making pro weighed in: “While this is a fantastic idea, I’d suggest buying wicks from a reputable supplier to reduce the chance of accidents. Also, make sure to use jars that are heat-rated to avoid any risk of them breaking.”

Another tip offered an alternate method, “You can also put the wax on an oil burner. I’ve done this when the candle hasn’t burnt evenly, so one side is higher. I just trim it, use up the wax, and use it as a wax melt.”
