Jed McIntosh's enormous six-figure Bachelor salary has been revealed

EXCLUSIVE: The 25-year-old is reportedly the second-highest paid Australian Bachelor.

Season 10 of The Bachelor Australia may have received the lowest ratings in the history of the franchise, but it didn’t stop one of the show’s three stars from walking away with an enormous paycheque.

A source tells Yahoo Lifestyle that 25-year-old drummer Jed McIntosh, who recently confirmed that he and his winner Alésia Delaney are “not currently in a relationship”, was paid a whopping $415,000 for his appearance on the reality show.

“Jed was paid $415,000 in instalments based on certain production milestones,” the insider claims.

It's also believed that fellow Bachelor Thomas Malucelli, who applied for the show, was matched for six months of his salary and was paid $50,000.

Meanwhile, the season's third Bachelor Felix Von Hofe was scouted and was allegedly paid $90,000 plus a $5000 bonus, which he has since forfeited because he refused to take part in any promo during or after the show.

“Warner Bros. team were extremely pushy for Jed,” the source adds. “They had a lot of pressure to use him to gain new audience and put a lot of emphasis on 'this is the make or break season’.”

When asked for comment, a Network 10 spokesperson told Yahoo Lifestyle: “As this is a confidential matter, Network 10 won’t be making any comment about talent salaries.”

How much were previous Bachelor stars paid?

Jed's massive salary makes him the second-highest-paid star in the history of the Australian Bachelor franchise.

Season six lead Nick ‘The Honey Badger’ Cummins is believed to be the highest-paid Bachelor Australia has ever had, with his finalist and future Bachelorette Brooke Blurton revealing on the Shameless In Conversation podcast in 2019 that he was paid an eye-watering $500,000.

Meanwhile, Brooke herself earned $250,000 for her stint as the Bachelorette in 2021, according to PerthNow.

This is compared to Matthew 'Matty J’ Johnson who The Daily Telegraph claimed made $200,000 on The Bachelor in 2017, and Sophie Monk who is rumoured to have been paid $300,000 for The Bachelorette the same year.

An insider told The Courier-Mail at the time that “Sophie will earn a lot more (than previous Bachelors and Bachelorettes) because her management would have negotiated well”.

It’s also been reported that season eight Bachelor Locky Gilbert took home $100,000, while Richie Strahan only took home $10,000 when he was the Bachelor in 2016.
