Bachelor's Thomas Malucelli 'grateful to be alive' after motorbike crash

The Bachelors' Thomas Malucelli was rushed to hospital on Sunday after he was involved in a motorcycle accident.

The transformation coach, 35, took to Instagram to share the news, saying he was "grateful to be alive" after the accident.

Taking a selfie from his hospital bed, the soon-to-be reality star told his followers he'd suffered a broken collarbone and a torn ligament in his thumb, writing, "Hit the ground pretty hard but I'm so grateful that my body is a miracle!

"[Second] motorbike accident that I'm involved in that's not my fault... gotta really have eyes everywhere."

He added, "Feeling so grateful to be alive right now."

Thomas shared another post on Tuesday, writing, "Update: I have a broken collarbone, torn ligament on my thumb... Few scratches and bruises but I'm okay! Being looked after so well."

Thomas is part of the next season of The Bachelor, featuring not one, not two, but three Bachelors!

The revamped show with three leads, Jed McIntosh, Felix Von Home, and Thomas Malucelli, was slated to appear in October 2022, however, it's being reported that it won't hit our screens until next year.

Sources shared with Yahoo Lifestyle that the move has angered multiple contestants, who don’t want to “keep their lives on hold anymore”.

A source says: “It's been four months since the show was filmed and the contestants who didn’t find love aren’t allowed to publicly date, freely use their social media accounts or talk about the experience until it’s aired on TV - but this might not be for another six months.

“They’re furious and just want to move on and refuse to keep their lives on hold.”

New Bachelor contestant Tash Candyce has already become active on Instagram and captioned a snap on Wednesday with: “I’m back.”

A TV insider also tells Yahoo Lifestyle that “this feels like the final nail in the coffin to The Bachelor franchise.”
