Inside Kath and Kim star's lavish $8 million mansion for sale

Kath and Kim icon Jane Turner who plays Kath on the hit series, has put her luxurious five-bedroom Melbourne mansion up for sale, listing the stunning property in Elwood for a price of anything between $7.5 - $8 million, a far cry from the Fountain Lakes days!

The upmarket home was originally built in the 1800s, and its best feature? It's very own wine cellar. It also features a marble-tiled verandah, huge rooms, a beautiful outdoor pool, and a perfectly manicured garden, as well as a library and home office. It sits on 1018 square metres and is one of the last remaining 19th-century homes in the area.

The home is set to generate a lot of interest amongst buyers, due to its location near shopping centres, restaurants and bars, but the actress and comedian had previously put the home up for sale in 2020 before withdrawing the listing after a few weeks.

While the home boasts modern renovations, Jane has kept the heritage features of the 1880s home, including the verandah with Victorian lacework and a stained glass window. The beachside property is described as "rich in old-world glamour and grandeur" and Jane has owned the home for a whopping 27 years.

The original 19th-century home is connected to the old stables in the backyard, which then gives way to an expansive open-plan living space filled with natural light and with high ceilings. And for a little bit of quirk, the kitchen takes on a lime-green theme.
