Hollywood couple's lowkey relocation to Australia: 'Basically in the future'
Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr have quietly started making Sydney home.
A Hollywood couple has quietly slipped into Sydney under the radar, as they relocate with their family over the summer to film the next instalment of a popular horror franchise, almost three decades after the first movie.
Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr have been soaking in the sun (and storms) in Sydney, popping up at places like Chin Chin, the SEALIFE aquarium, Bondi Beach, and The Opera House, while Freddie films the eagerly awaited next instalment of the I Know What You Did Last Summer franchise.
In the original 1997 film, Sarah Michelle Gellar's character was killed off, but the new film I Never Forget What You Did Last Summer will see Freddie Prinze Jr reprise his role as Ray Bronson.

While they originally met on the set of I Know What You Did Last Summer in 1997, they didn't start dating until 2000, before becoming engaged in 2001. They went on to co-star in the Scooby Doo franchise together in the early '00s.
Freddie recently shed some light on the success of their relationship, saying that they both like to keep it private. In a chat with the Oldish podcast, Freddie told hosts Brian Austin Green, Sharna Burgess, and Randy Spelling that it was easy for him to go undercover in Hollywood as he's not a party person.
"I don't know how deliberate [other celebrities] are in trying to avoid that BS," Freddie said. "I know how easy it's been for us because I don't go anywhere. I don't go to parties. People don't see Sarah and I out and about at the popular places. We have our restaurants that we like, and they're not super trendy in places where paparazzi hang out. So we're good at avoiding it."

Freddie noted he wasn't trying to "s**t on anyone" but it wasn't hard for them to keep things private.
“There's times where [paparazzi] wait at the bottom of our street, but there's people that are way more famous than me on my street," he said. "So I'll just make sure they leave first. They'll go follow Schwarzenegger and leave me alone. You know what I mean? There's no secret to it and it wasn't hard. We just don't like that life, you know?"
