"Yeah I will, right now I'm taking care of people close to me and having them at my house," Jolie replied.
The actress—who was wearing loose-fitting black pants with a baggy black sweater over a white top and carrying a brown bag—waved at the fan before getting in her car.
"Take care," she said.
While it's not clear who Jolie is hosting, she's not the only famous Southern California resident to give family and friends a place to stay.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, who live in Montecito, have also opened their home to loved ones who were displaced by the fires. The royal couple shared ideas on how to help in a message on their website which read: "If a friend, loved one, or pet has to evacuate and you are able to offer them a safe haven in your home, please do. And be sure to check in with any disabled or elderly neighbors to see if they need help evacuating."
