Get an Exclusive First Look at 'The Voice' Artist Who's 'Twinning' with Coach Kelsea Ballerini
Night 2 of The Voice Season 27 Blind Auditions will air on Monday night with a new bevy of talented artists singing their hearts out to get at least one coach to turn for them. This season features a new mixture of coaches: OG coach Adam Levine, returning coaches John Legend and Michael Bublé, and first-time coach Kelsea Ballerini.
Tatum Scott, a 22-year-old singer/songwriter from High Point, NC, is on Monday night’s show, and she makes a team. Tatum performed Olivia Rodrigo’s “vampire,” which Adam said he loved, but he didn’t turn for her.
That’s okay because both Kelsea and John did, but it’s obvious from the start that she and Kelsea have something in common.
“Is this real life?” Tatum asks when she’s done. Then she fangirls, “Kelsea, girl, I love you.”
To which John says, “Oh, my goodness. I can see where this is going.”

Kelsea gets up and walks around, and Adam says, “Kelsea, this will probably go to you.”
“I don’t want to take any chances,” Kelsea replies. “I live in Nashville, and I have those pants,” she says, pointing to Tatum’s rhinestone-encrusted jeans, bonding with hopes of getting her on her team.
“I know you have these pants, I saw,” Tatum says excitedly. “I saw your concert. You were wearing them.”
Then Kelsea got down to business. “When you first started, your lower register is so beautiful. You picked such a great song. Olivia is amazing. There is no one who knows what it’s like to be a woman in Nashville except for a woman in Nashville. We can do it together. We can match,” Kelsea exclaims.
And Tatum happily says, “Yes! We’ll match with our pants.”
Before John has a chance to try to woo her to his team, Adam says, “I’m going to say welcome to Team Kelsea.”
John interrupts, “Excuse me. I’m not out of this yet.”
Adam says, “Godspeed and good luck.”
Michael jumps in and says, “It’s really nice to meet you, Tatum.”
Tatum tells him, “I love your Christmas album.”
Kelsea pulls out the cowboy boots that she is gifting the artists on her team, so Tatum can see.
Michael jokes, “I was going to wear those today.” Then, more seriously, he says, “This woman [pointing to Kelsea], she got to live out her dream, and now she gets to help you live out yours.”
Finally, John gets to make his pitch. “I turned first for you, of course. Kelsea was a little late. The level of confidence and calm that it takes to sing those low parts is super hard, so I pushed the button. I felt like I had a decent shot, and then you guys started talking. I saw the bond we may have had dissolving.”
Then he goes on, “Kelsea has never done this show before. This is a fact. This is not criticism. It’s just a factual statement I’m making.”
Kelsea pantomimes as if she’s being stabbed.
John continues, “I have so much experience helping young artists navigate their way through this show. Kelsea may. We don’t know.”
Kelsea interrupts, “I have so much fire under my butt to kill it for you, and I will. I have a lot to prove.”
Back to John, who says, “I listen to Olivia Rodrigo in the car with my daughter. I’m very young and hip.”
Adam backs him up, “You are, John. You are young and hip.”

John has nothing else to say, so Adam asks the question, “Who do you pick as your coach?”
Tatum has been singing since she was six years old, and these days, she has added songwriting to her resumé. In February 2023, she moved to Nashville to pursue her love of performing in front of audiences and continue her songwriting passion.
But now, she’ll have to put that on pause while she performs on The Voice.
Tune in on Monday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC to find out if she chooses Kelsea or John. The Voice streams the next day on Peacock.
