MAFS star's leaked texts confirm split after partner's bombshell confession

Just a few days after Yahoo Lifestyle broke the news that Married At First Sight’s Adrian Araouzou has gone rogue and seemingly revealed his current relationship status, another 2025 participant has spoiled their storyline on the show.

Morena Farina revealed in a series of messages to 2023 groom Harrison Boon, which he shared to his Instagram Story on Thursday with her permission, that her marriage to Tony Mojanovski fell apart after an incident at the first commitment ceremony - which is set to air on Sunday.

She explained that Tony was still legally married to his estranged wife when he filmed the reality show, which she didn’t have an issue with as she had also gone through a lengthy divorce process.

However, while sitting on the commitment ceremony couch with the experts, Tony admitted that he was still in love with his wife and wanted the producers to bring her into the experiment.

“I don't care that I didn't find love,” Morena told Harrison in the leaked messages. “I don't care that he is separated and dating. I took three years to get my divorce so it's okay. What I care about is he told everyone at the commitment ceremony, which is this week, that he loves his wife. He told directors and producers, ‘Bring my wife in’.”

Morena says producers wanted to bury the storyline

Morena went on to claim that the show’s producers told her to “stop talking”, “shut up” and “let it go” when she began speaking out about Tony’s bombshell confession because they weren’t planning on including it in the show.

“Well I didn't let it go and I still haven't let it go,” she continued. “This is why they're playing my character as I talk too much. Do I? I haven't even started yet. I don't understand. I'm actually happy. He loves his wife. I've actually told him that. Why didn't you chase your wife instead of this experiment?”

While it’s unclear exactly why Tony and his wife are no longer together, Morena made a comment suggesting that it had to do with the fact she lives in the US.

“Two things stopped him going back to America - his Visa issue and his beautiful dog. Unfortunately, his dog has died, now he's gotta work out the Visa issue,” she said.

“I do not care that he's still legally married. That's not the issue. The issue is he loves his wife. He wants his wife and he really thought he could come on the show and get his wife in the show. It would make good TV. What the hell.”

Why Morena isn't watching MAFS

This comes after a source close to Morena revealed to Yahoo Lifestyle that she’s chosen not to watch the reality show after having such a rough experience.

“Morena doesn’t care about her edit,” they said. “There’s not a thing they can do to her now. Everything they did they did when she was on the show.

“She’s not watching the show because she doesn’t need to watch it. She lived it.”

Morena's 'bizarre' exit from the show

In September, Yahoo Lifestyle first ran exclusive pictures of the 57-year-old bride appearing to be kicked off the show and leaving the experiment under “bizarre” circumstances – with Tony, 53, snapped shortly afterwards with a huge smile on his face.

The mum-of-two looked downcast as she sat on a bench outside the cast’s apartment building in Sydney’s Green Square with her luggage while waiting for a taxi to the airport. A paparazzi photographer who covers MAFS every year told Yahoo Lifestyle the incident was “very strange”.

“Usually when a couple or cast member leaves the show they have to film a whole exit sequence in the underground car park and leave in private,” they said. “They do this to avoid anyone taking any spoiler pictures of them leaving with their suitcases, as these pictures prove the couples split up – but this was so weird.

“It’s like she was just kicked off the show, evicted from the building and no one wanted anything to do with her anymore. Producers didn’t even order her a car to take her to the airport or try to hide her from us [the press].”
