Emily in Paris fans slam Netflix over season four trailer: 'Don't disappoint me'
Netflix fans were incredibly divided on one major Emily in Paris storyline.
The first Emily in Paris season four trailer has been released, but fans have been left disappointed by one major plot point and have taken to social media to slam Netflix for it. Fans will remember that there was quite a cliffhanger ending to season three, and a lot needs to be resolved in season four!
In the final episode, Camille (Camille Razat) and Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) were set to tie the knot, but she stopped the ceremony, announcing she couldn't marry him because he and Emily (Lily Collins) have been in love since they met. Alfie (Lucien Laviscount), Emily's boyfriend, dumped her and encouraged her to pursue a relationship with Gabriel.

As Emily finally tells Gabriel that, yes, it's true, she has always had feelings for him, he reveals that he wanted to marry Camille because she is pregnant with his baby.
Given the SAG-AFTRA strike, fans of the show have been waiting over a year for the new season of Emily in Paris, and the new trailer has made some of them very nervous about who Emily will end up with.
Emily in Paris fans divided on major season four storyline
Fans of both Alfie and Gabriel flooded the comments on the Emily in Paris trailer on social media, with one user writing, "Gabriel and Emily better get together already. Why are you dragging it? I'm getting bored. This will be my last if they don't. So here we go. Please don't disappoint me 😭😭😭."
"No kidding!" another agreed. "I mean, they don’t really give Emily and Gabriel ever a chance to be together. It’s like one kiss and then something blows it up. It’s getting old.
"No she better end up with Alfie 😭😭😭," a third said.
"If she’s not gonna end up with Gabriel I’m done with it 😂," someone else added.
"Waited three seasons and did not like the endings, hope this one I will see Emily with Gabriel, love the chemistry between these two and Alfie can go back to England," another said.
"Alfie is my favourite, it would be nice if Emily chose to love herself first [and] then consider a relationship," one fan added on YouTube.
However, not everyone was on board with that, with another writing, "If she chooses to be by herself after all this drama 'to find herself' I'm so done with Netflix."
"This is probably going to end with Emily choosing HeRsElF️ at the end," a third sarcastically wrote, adding, "Still going to watch it though."
"Why do I feel that there’s going to be 3 love interests…" someone else said.
"Emily has been switching so much between them that I honestly don't ship her with either of them anymore," another annoyed fan added.

However, many others were simply glad to have the show back, with one fan writing, "I don't care what anyone says, this is my COMFORT show! Sure, it's campy and unrealistic, but I am so tired of the hardcore dramas, I LOVE me a fun rom-com light-hearted show like this."
