Netflix fans have been left divided after seeing photos of the fifth season of You being filmed in New York this week. Penn Badly returns as Joe Goldberg in the series and was pictured shooting scenes with The Handmaid's Tale and Orange Is The New Black star Madeline Brewer in New York City.

The streaming service has previously shared details about the actress' new character, posting on Instagram earlier this year: "Madeline plays Bronte — an enigmatic and free-spirited playwright who comes to work at Joe Goldberg’s new bookstore. Good luck, girl ❤️."

The fifth season will also be You's final season, but fans aren't convinced there needed to be another, with one user simply writing, "You better be good this time. You sucked last season."

"This show needs to end," another said.

"A series with such a specific premise should never go past season 5," a third said. "The idea gets old and convoluted. Not that I liked a series about a man killing women to begin with."

"Last season was very very boring..." someone else wrote.

One user joked about Madeline's character, "Let’s assume she’s already gone 💀," while another called her Joe's "next victim."

"He keeps going after these girls and getting away with the sh*t when is he going get caught," one fan questioned.

"Thank god this is back in the US. The London vibe wasn’t it," someone else said, referencing the show's fourth season, which was shot in London.

Others were excited to see another season, with one user writing, "OHHHH THIS IS GONNA BE GOOD."

"Yes. Let's go. I miss you Joe," another said.

"Love that show. Next season please. Pronto," a third added.

"That man doesn't age at all," someone else wrote about Penn, while another added, "This guy could play a younger version of Mark Ruffalo."
