Say goodbye to ads for good with this elite streaming service.

There’s nothing worse than when you’re blasting some sweet tunes on a road trip and your song is cut short, replaced by a dreaded commercial. Probably for insurance, or something equally as boring. I can say with certainty that driving down the coast listening to a monotone voice drabble on about finances, of all things, will absolutely not help you get into holiday mode.

But I’ve got the solution! If you’re sick of getting ads but don’t want to pay for a music service right now, Amazon Music Unlimited Australia is offering a four-month free trial. It’s a great way to try it out to see if it’s the right fit for you, without the commitment. Sounds a bit like dating apps, but it is way more rewarding!

It’s completely ad-free, and you have unlimited skips – perfect for an indecisive listener like me. There are 100 million songs on the platform, and you can download and enjoy your music offline while on the go. Whether you’re a runner who uses music as motivation (this definitely isn’t me, I prefer the couch), need something to listen to while you laze by the pool (more my speed), or want to tune out the dulcet tones of a screaming baby on the plane, it’ll be super handy.

Amazon Music Unlimited Australia is also home to the most ad-free top podcasts. I’ve been known to tune into a soothing true crime podcast to help fall asleep, so this ticks that box.

The platform also gives listeners a different experience to other music streaming services, including some truly unique tech. Users are able to listen to songs in spatial audio which gives you “fully immersive, three-dimensional sound” and is “expertly mixed for breathtaking definition and depth”.

Intrigued? Let me up the stakes. Amazon Music Unlimited Australia also has High Definition (HD) and Ultra HD tracks, so you can hear these tunes in a whole new way, and appreciate them even more.

Standard definition streaming services are so yesterday, because HD gives you double the bitrate and Ultra HD gives you more than 10 times the bitrate. Let me translate this to you in non-technical terms: you’ll finally be able to listen to songs the way your favourite artists intended.

There’s one other feature that has piqued my curiosity: the curated playlists put together by Amazon music experts. A range of curators put together playlists that suit different tastes, moods and genres, and I love the idea of being able to discover music I didn’t know existed.

One of Amazon Music’s senior music curators, Rochelle Balogun, told Hypebeast in 2023 that her team is made up of “music-obsessed fans who work in music”.

“Music curators also tend to be early on music, artists and trends, and advocate and champion emerging talent,” she said. “We get the unique privilege to listen to a lot of music, and we work to cut through the noise, make great music rise to the top and grab people’s attention.”

The Amazon Music Unlimited Australia four-month free trial offer is only available for a limited time, so run, don’t walk! After the trial is up, it's only $12.99 per month, the price of a few coffees. It’s a deal you don’t want to miss… unless you want to get stuck listening to ads in the car again. Your choice.
