Netflix viewers ecstatic about nostalgic detail in big announcement: 'The ultimate crossover'
A new rom-com called Nobody Wants This is the 00s meet cute we never knew we needed.
If you're a 00s kid then the recent announcement of a new rom-com coming to Netflix is sure to put a smile on your dial. Created by the very funny Erin Foster, Nobody Wants This follows the story of Noah, a stuck-in-his-ways rabbi used to playing it safe, who sees his life start to change when he meets Joanne, a brutally honest and provocative woman.
According to Foster in an interview with Tudum, “This show is based on the only good decision I ever made: falling for a nice Jewish boy. But I realised that being happy is way harder than being miserable (there’s nothing to complain about). So, I created this show based on all the ways that finding the right person can be so hard."

As relatable as the synopsis is, fans were far more excited about a crucial detail in the announcement of the series and that was the fact that Kristen Bell and Adam Brody are the stars.
In the 00s crossover we never knew we needed, the Veronica Mars actress (and voice of Gossip Girl) and Seth Cohen from The O.C. are in a romantic TV series together - and the internet is having a field day about it.
"Veronica Mars and The OC - the ultimate cross-over," one enthusiastic fan wrote on Netflix's Facebook page.
"Seth from The OC & Veronica Mars...come on!!! I didn't know I had 2000s TV show icons on my 2024 Bingo Card. Bingeing that for sure," said another.
"Gossip Girl and Seth Cohen, I'm in," added someone else while another person wrote, "OMG… The O.C. meets Gossip Girl! I will definitely be watching this."
"Seth Cohen and Veronica Mars makes PERFECT SENSE," offered another viewer.
Other fans seemed on the brink of a medical emergency thanks to their excitement with comments such as "Why is my millennial heart beating faster…", "My 2000's heart! Seth + Veronica!" and "I have died and gone to heaven," flooding the Facebook post.

Of course, being the internet, there are always a few naysayers, with one person chiming in with, "The name of this show is the exact phrase that went through my head when I read the series premise. 'Nobody wants this!'" (Slow clap for him).
A few fans were also dismayed by the fact Netflix was promoting a show so far in advance - the series is not set to premiere until September. But, for the most part, viewers were just excited at the prospect of two teen idols from seriously iconic shows joining forces for some lols and some lurrve.
