MAFS star shocks with accidental X-rated detail in honeymoon snaps: 'Had to zoom in'

It didn’t take long for fans to notice the cheeky shadow.

Married At First Sight’s Bryce Ruthven has sent his followers wild after he shared a cheeky photo on social media that accidentally exposed his manhood. The radio host and former reality star recently spent time in Phuket, Thailand to celebrate his long-awaited honeymoon with his wife Melissa Rawson, 15 months after they tied the knot and four years after they met on the controversial series.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, Bryce uploaded a gallery of “honeymoon snaps from the camera roll” taken at the beach or the private pool in their room. The post certainly grabbed his followers’ attention as the first photo featured him standing completely naked facing the pool with his budgie smuggler tan lines on full display.

While the snap was intended to poke fun at his pale behind compared to his tanned legs and torso, fans quickly took to the comments to point out the very X-rated shadow on the ground directly below him.

“Remember there is always a shadow on the ground haha,” one person commented, to which another replied, “Brilliant. Not quite sure why I had to zoom in and look”.

“I could tell without doing that hahaha human nature!” a third remarked, while someone else said, “I’m dying lol I was wondering if I was only one to see this now I don’t feel like a dirty old lady, at least not one who’s alone”.

“Not sure what's making me giggle more… the VERY white bum cheeks or shadow,” a different user shared.

“Holding a baby carrot?” one fan asked, with Bryce responding, “Cucumbers are more popular in Thailand”.

Bryce admits to Yahoo Lifestyle that he wasn’t aware of the X-rated shadow until he went through his photos with Melissa and she pointed it out.

“I didn’t even notice it! I was happy to post the pic, it didn’t bother me,” he says. “My view of it is YOLO, we were on our honeymoon enjoying ourselves!”

Despite being one of the most controversial couples to appear on MAFS, Bryce and Melissa are one of only seven pairs who are still together after being matched on the reality show. They have since legally gotten married and welcomed twin sons in October 2021.

Following comparisons to Jack Dunkley and Tori Adams from this year’s season of the reality show, Bryce recently appeared on Yahoo Lifestyle’s Behind the Edit podcast to share his post-show advice for any reality TV ‘villains’.

The father-of-two said it’s important for anyone who was portrayed negatively on TV to remember that things will ease up over time “if you stay true to yourself”.

“Look, people said that I'll never work in radio again afterwards. People love saying that, even reported false articles on it saying I was sacked from jobs,” he detailed. “But at the end of the day, I'm working in radio now so it's not all doom and gloom if you are a villain on the show.

“And history I guess even shows too that villains are the ones that seem to do the best after the show. Go figure!”
