MAFS' Katie's sexy photoshoot emerges as she shares huge post-show update
EXCLUSIVE: Katie has a brand new lease on life following Tim's brutal rejection.
It’s been six months since Married At First Sight's Katie Johnson filmed her disastrous honeymoon to Tim Gromie on this year's season of the reality show. While fans become more and more heartbroken watching the bubbly bride’s self-doubt and insecurities flare up because of her partner’s brutal rejections, these days it’s a completely different story.
Since filming wrapped last year, Yahoo Lifestyle is told that the reality star has spent time working on herself and learning to love who she is. She now has a brand new lease on life and Tim’s rejection is said to have been “the catalyst that pushed her to address her issues and learn where they come from”.

The 37-year-old CEO also recently turned to Studio Republic, Australia's leading empowerment photography studio to capture her newfound confidence.
Photos exclusively shared with Yahoo Lifestyle show the bride truly glowing as she poses in various outfits and locations.
Traci Castle, the founder of Studio Republic, tells Yahoo Lifestyle that Katie has been “a friend and client” of her business for many years.
“Over the years we have witnessed Katie’s liberating transformation. She has leaned in with a courageous vulnerability and adopted a lens of love, grace and acceptance for all of the incredible parts and pieces to who she is,” she details.
“The pressure cooker of a situation that Katie was in within her relationship with Tim stirred up the emotions and feelings of a worth she has fought so hard for. The difference now is that after her journey of self-discovery and committing to practices of self-love, empowerment, and self-care, she knew what she was worthy of receiving - and it wasn’t what Tim put on the table.”
Katie speaks out: 'Stand in your own power'
One video posted by Studio Republic on Instagram features the bride reflecting on her journey to find self-love and sharing how she’s now become her own “soulmate”.
“I've gone on such a journey in my life. It’s taken me a long time to feel really good in my own skin, and I feel like this is just a good reinforcement of that,” she says. “Like, we get one body and we get one chance about being here now in this moment, and I want to do it shining.
“I want to be all of me 100 per cent. Doing things like this helps bring that out in you. And all in all, I like what I see. I like my curves, I like my stretch marks, I like the saggy bits, the lumpy bits, the good bits, I love it all. The only person that I want to manifest love for is myself right now. I feel like if your cup’s full, then it can overflow you.”
She adds that it doesn’t matter what you look like because “you’re the only one with your journey” and that’s worth celebrating.
“I've been through my whole life under the pressure and the scrutiny of society telling me what I should be doing as a woman and what I should look like as a woman and the ‘shoulds’ of life always get laid on everyone,” she continues. “Nobody's exempt from it unless you really learn to stand in your own power and then everything else just falls away.”
Lucinda Light's sweet act to support Katie
Viewers across Australia have rallied around Katie following her rough experience on the show, including 2024’s breakout star Lucinda Light.
The fan favourite bride took to social media on Wednesday evening to describe Katie as “divine” and “radiant” and said she understood how she felt after having a similar experience on the show. She also told her followers that she’s invited Katie to appear as a guest at her upcoming live show in Brisbane.
“Brisbane friends, if you’re coming to my show this Saturday night, you’re in for a special treat - Katie will be there, along with other MAFS friends. Let’s come together as a community and wrap this exquisite human in love and support. I want her to truly feel us standing behind her in solidarity,” she wrote.
