MAFS' Jack Millar reveals secret about relationship with Courtney Stubbs

EXCLUSIVE: The season nine groom spills on his relationship with the Love Island star.

Married At First Sight’s Jack Millar has opened up about his relationship with Love Island star Courtney Stubbs and revealed the sweet story of how he first said ‘I love you’.

The 28-year-old shared during Yahoo’s All-Star MAFS Reunion that he and Courtney first met at his ex-partner Domenica Calarco’s Showpo fashion launch a few months after season nine finished airing on TV and immediately hit it off.

They then stayed in contact and had their first date in June last year when Jack went to the Gold Coast for the Logie Awards.

“It was going swimmingly, it was all just very natural,” he detailed. “And then she came down to Sydney after that and we went down to the snow.

“I don't know whether you'd call that snow trip the second date, but she stayed for two weeks and five days in was the first time I told her that I loved her. We were a little bit drunk, we had a few little wines and I was just like, ‘I love this girl’.”

Jack went on to describe Courtney as “the love of my life” and said their relationship is what he is most thankful to MAFS for.

“It's not that the show placed us together, but it definitely gave me the avenue to be in the same circles that I wouldn't have been in,” he remarked.

“I happened to stumble across this beautiful girl and met her, so that's definitely something that I'm probably most ecstatic about post-show.”

Jack compares his relationship with Dom to his relationship with Courtney

The former TV groom was also asked during Yahoo’s All-Star MAFS Reunion about the differences between his relationship with Dom and his current relationship with Courtney.

“When it comes to the MAFS experience and my relationship with Dom, for a lot of it, we were trying to make it work because that is what the experiment was,” he explained.

“By all means, we found many avenues that we connected on. But in terms of the way that I felt, especially towards the end I know that she was uncertain. She wasn’t one hundred per cent how she felt about me and, to be honest, I think by that point I wasn't one hundred per cent sure about how I felt about her. And that was the better part of three months into the relationship.”

Jack then shared that the main distinction between the two relationships is that he has “just naturally fallen in love” with Courtney.

“And don't get me wrong, there are challenging parts of it. Especially when she was in Gold Coast and I was in Sydney,” he added. “There are times when you’re just like, ‘F**king just move in!’. But it does flow naturally. It just feels like it flows. I don't know, there’s no other way I can put it.”

Jack and Courtney officially moved in together in January and are set to celebrate their one-year anniversary next month.
