MAFS' Domenica and Ella reveal which bride had the worst 'edit'
It’s been just over a month since this year’s season of Married At First Sight came to an end and yet the bombshells keep on coming now that the participants have regained access to their social media accounts.
Fan favourite brides Domenica Calarco and Ella Ding went live on Instagram on Sunday night and spoke openly about their experience on the show, including who they think had the worst portrayal.
“Let's talk about who got a bad edit, a real bad edit, and that was Kate [Laidlaw],” Domenica said about this year’s intruder, who was paired with Matt Ridley in the experiment.
“So f**k all the other idiots that are saying they got bad edits. How about actually standing up for the person that had a bad edit?
“Kate is a sweetheart who actually can hold a conversation, and can hold meaningful conversations. So let’s talk about that. Let’s go and support Kate.”

The iconic duo went on to say that some of their other co-stars are only complaining about a “bad edit” because “they’ve been seen for who they are”.
“People don’t like when a mirror’s held up in front of them and they actually see who they really are,” Domenica continued.
“Yeah, there were some things of me that happened on the show that I didn't like either, and that really held up a mirror in front of me and I actually took that on board and I fixed that about myself because that's actually what you're supposed to do. You're not meant to just go and blame it on a ‘bad edit’.”
'The real injustice'
Elsewhere in the Instagram Live, Kate popped up in the comments and Domenica and Ella praised her for being “a bloody incredible woman”.
“I always stood up for you when people would ask, ‘Is Kate really like that?’ and I would say, ‘No she’s actually not’,” Ella remarked.
“When people would say that to me I’d go, ‘Mate, the only person that got a s**t end of the stick was Kate on this season’,” Domenica added. “That’s the real bad edit here.”
Eventually, Kate joined the Instagram Live and thanked the girls for their support, calling it “the sweetest thing ever”.
“I’m sick of telling everyone ‘I’m so nice’, I’m sick of telling people who I am. I’m just like, whatever, I just need to be me,” she said.
“You got misconstrued big time,” Domenica replied. “The real injustice here is your edit. Everyone else was shown how they were. Because their behaviours after the show mirrored their behaviours on the show.”
'An absolute fool'
Domenica’s comments come shortly after Ella’s TV ‘husband’ Mitchell Eynaud took to Instagram to slam his edit, claiming that the producers made him look like “an absolute fool”.
“They’ve already pre-selected a narrative for every character on there,” he said. “You’re filming for 40 hours a week most weeks, and you’re only seeing two or three minutes of each week per person.
“I mean, that final date episode where we finished jet skiing and we were sitting under the hut, that conversation went for an hour or two and you saw 30 seconds of it and I was just sitting there like a mute because they cut all the s**t that I said out.”
