MAFS' Cam reveals vicious crocodile attack: 'Almost eaten'

Cam Woods is considered to be one of this season's 'villains'.

MAFS contestant Cam Woods found himself in a dangerous situation with a freshwater crocodile earlier this week. The 27-year-old carpenter, who was embroiled in plenty of onscreen drama with ‘bride’ Lyndall Grace on the show, narrowly escaped a crocodile attack in Darwin.

The Northern Territory-based participant was walking on the edge of a swamp while distracted on FaceTime with co-star Alyssa Barmonde, when the reptile jumped out and tried to bite him.

His near-miss was documented on Alyssa’s TikTok, with the footage showing how quick Cam had to be to avoid being bitten. "POV: Cameron from MAFS FaceTimes you and almost gets eaten by a croc," she wrote on the video.

When asked about the scary incident, Cam laughs it off and says it wasn’t too serious.

“[It was] only a freshie. Would of given me a little nibble but wouldn’t kill me, I hope,” he tells Yahoo Lifestyle.

The reality TV participant has returned to normal life in the Northern Territory, and unlike the majority of this year’s cast, he isn’t interested in becoming an influencer or media personality.

An insider spills that he has no interest in returning to Sydney and would be quite ‘happy to forget the show ever happened’.

“He can’t wait for life to go back to normal once it wraps in the UK and the backlash ends. As far as Cam’s concerned, the only good thing to come out of MAFS was the mates he made with the boys,” our source adds.

Alyssa’s TikTok attracted some cruel comments from viewers, with many still mad at the way Cam treated Lyndall by withholding affection and giving her false hope. Fans were overjoyed when Lyndall savaged Cam during her final vows, before refusing to let him say anything in return.

When one fan tagged Lyndall in the comments and wrote: “Maybe the croc will get him next time,” Cam hit back with a reply.

“It would be doing me a favour,” he quipped.
