MAFS EXCLUSIVE: Truth behind Cam's final vows 'tantrum'

Cam Woods stormed off after Lyndall Grace refused to listen to what he had to say.

MAFS’ Lyndall Grace brutally dumped ‘husband’ Cam Woods during Monday's Final Vows episode. The pair have been struggling with their relationship for the past month, after Cam repeatedly refused to show the bride any affection and bluntly stated he didn’t see a future together.

After Lyndall left the final dinner party in tears, Evelyn Ellis berated him for stringing his ‘wife’ along throughout the experiment. However, while Lyndall appeared to fight for her relationship and hoped the trip to Cam’s home in the Northern Territory would patch things up, an insider has told Yahoo Lifestyle this may have been all for show.

According to our source, the couple knew they weren’t compatible and Cam actually wanted to leave much earlier in the experiment.

“Cam wanted to leave for four weeks before Final Vows but producers said he had to see his storyline through,” the insider says. “However, he and Lyndall both knew it was never going to work, and they weren’t going to carry on outside of the experiment.”

Our source claims that MAFS producers warned Cam that if he left early, he may come across as a bad person onscreen.

“[Producers] just kept him in [the experiment] to humiliate him in the end,” our source adds.

Cam slammed for Final Vows ‘tantrum’

Lyndall came across as confident, calm and collected during the Final Vows, saying on Instagram that she ‘planned on making every single word count’.

Telling her soon-to-be ex that she ‘drove herself insane’ trying to fit into Cam’s perfect partner, she realised that he ‘simply didn’t want one’. Touching on how she has been given a second chance with her new cystic fibrosis drug that extends her life expectancy for another 40 years, she declared she deserved much better than Cam.

“I won’t spend another moment of that life restricted — not by my condition, not by my body, not by fear and certainly not by you. So, to put it plainly, stay in your lane, and I’ll stay in mine. I wanna build a life I’m proud of, and that life does not include you,” she said, while Cam looked stunned.

As Cam prepared to say his speech, Lyndall stopped him and said she didn’t want to hear anything he had to say. Instead of being graceful and walking away, he threw his speech down at her feet and stormed off.

Fans tore Cam apart for his 'tantrum' on social media, especially after seeing his Instagram caption that read: “I’m going a happier man than I was on the whole experiment. I will send you the invoice.”

“He’s like a spoilt child, threw his speech onto the ground then walked,” one fan wrote.

“He really showed his true colours at the end didn’t he?!” another exclaimed.

“What the hell was he so angry about? He wanted to be the one to reject her. Couldn’t handle getting some of his own medicine. I wish the lovely Lyndall only the best in life. So glad she isn’t going to take any more of his crap,” a third added.
