Kris Jenner Reveals Family’s Surprise Link to Menendez Bros
Kris Jenner has revealed a surprising connection between her family and the Menendez brothers—who were jailed for killing their parents—way before they were sentenced, the Daily Mail reported.
Momager Jenner revealed the unlikely link to Lyle and Erik Menendez on the season premiere of their reality show, The Kardashians.
In the clip, Kim Kardashian shared that director-producer Ryan Murphy, known for shows like American Horror Story, had told her he was working on a new series of Monsters, focusing on the 1989 killings of Jose and Kitty Menendez .
“Ryan Murphy told me that his new series—like, how he did Dahmer—is now gonna be on the Menendez brothers,” Kardashian said to her mother and sisters Khloé Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall Jenner.
“Oh my God,” her mother replied, disclosing: “You know I knew those guys in the ’80s.”
When asked for clarification on if “those guys” referred to the brothers’ parents, Kitty and Jose Menendez, she admitted: “No. I knew the kids because Erik used to come over and play tennis with your dad on the weekends.”

This revelation, in turn, prompted Kim to recall that her late father, attorney Robert Kardashian, had discussed the case with her when she was about 13 years old and growing up in Beverly Hills.
“The trial, I think, happened when I was, like, 13, so there were big cases that I would love to talk to my dad about, and so this was one of them,” she said, adding: “Now, being older and seeing it from a different lens, 35 years later, and knowing what I know now about the system, I just have a whole different outlook on it.”
Kim has since become a fierce advocate of the brothers, writing a personal essay in support of their release, which is currently being reviewed by the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office.
“I have spent time with Lyle and Erik; they are not monsters,” Kardashian wrote. “They are kind, intelligent, and honest men.”
Notably, the Menendez brothers claimed that they were forced to kill their parents because they suffered years of sexual and physical abuse and were afraid for their lives.
