Kmart shopper unimpressed by how $16 mirror made her look: 'Drunk'

Kmart is known for being the go-to place for everything from affordable designer dupes to gadgets that make life easier. It's also a firm favourite with shoppers who are looking for cheap and simple solutions for their home, whether for a DIY project or a decor upgrade.

While many customers praise "Slaymart" for its variety and cost-effectiveness, not every item is created equal, it would seem. One shopper discovered this for herself when she purchased multiples of a $16 item that ended up making her feel "drunk."

Sharing pics in a Facebook group, the shopper wrote, "Don't waste your money ladies. Pack of 4 sticky mirrors $16. I got 6 of them 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️. How to feel drunk without drinking 😂😂😂."

As you can see from the photos, the mirrors have not exactly gone to plan, creating a wacky house of horrors kinda vibe. I mean, Halloween is just around the corner so maybe it works?

The shopper clarified that she had not left the plastic film on the mirrors, therefore the issue was simply a fault of the product.

Shoppers in hysterics over mirror mishap

"Omg it's like the mirrors at Luna Park!," one person laughed in reply to the mirror mishap.

"Kinda has that fun house feel though!," another said.

"They remind me of those fun mirrors you get at the shows LOL," a third added while someone else said, "Now I know where the mirror maze people get their mirrors."

Several amused shoppers also saw the mirrors as an opportunity to have some fun and make some cash.

"You’ve got your own fun park…invite the neighbours & charge admission," was one suggestion.

"You could charge people to come in like a mirror fun house lol," someone else echoed.

Other suggestions for Kmart mirrors

Others pointed out that the mirrors are very seasonal with someone saying, "Set them up in a makeshift maze for Halloween" and another writing, "On the upside, this would be brilliant for Halloween walkthroughs."

Now, if you have kids, the self-adhesive mirrors could, apparently, be the key to hours of fun according to some parents and educators.

"Hilarious! These would be great at daycare. The kids would have a ball (and the educators)lol," was one comment while "Lol I actually want this for work now (childcare). My kids would love this," was another.

"Be great for kids' parties," another person said.

"Lol this is the best - hours of entertainment for kids!," yet another person enthused.

"I have a feeling these might be something everyone will want now for parties etc. It’s going to say sold out online!" someone else added.

There were also numerous comments on the post thanking the Kmart shopper for "being such a good sport" and giving everyone a good laugh.

"Omg you’ve made my day lol this is the funniest thing I’ve seen all week," one person wrote.

But the comment that won the day HAD to be from the absolute icon who wrote, "Oh goodness me. I'm 73 & I've just peed my Nanny knickers.😉 Good on you for posting photos. 😄"
