King Charles becomes emotional as he reveals the 'shock' of receiving cancer diagnosis
The King is back to work after taking time off following his diagnosis.
King Charles became emotional as he opened up about the 'shock' of being diagnosed with cancer during his return to public duties. The King took time off after receiving the diagnosis, but after being given the OK by his medical team, he is back at work.
Charles and his wife Queen Camilla attended the University College Hospital Macmillan Cancer Centre in London in their first official engagement in months.
According to The Mirror, Charles appeared emotional during the visit and after one patient mentioned her chemotherapy, he told her," I’ve got to have my treatment this afternoon as well."

When someone else asked him how he was coping, he said, "I'm all right, thank you very much – not too bad."
Speaking about the moment he found out about his diagnosis, Charles told one patient, "It’s always a bit of a shock, isn’t it, when they tell you?"
It comes after the Palace released a statement last week, revealing he would return to public duties.
"His Majesty The King will shortly return to public-facing duties after a period of treatment and recuperation following his recent cancer diagnosis," the statement said. "To help mark this milestone, The King and Queen will make a joint visit to a cancer treatment centre next Tuesday, where they will meet medical specialists and patients.
"This visit will be the first in a number of external engagements His Majesty will undertake in the weeks ahead."
