Katie Holmes's Silk Skirt Outfit Formula Works so Well She Wore it Twice in One Day

If it's not broken, why fix it?

Katie Holmes is the undisputed queen of chic simplicity. For years, her street style has been celebrated for its combination of classic, understated pieces with fun personal touches. Think jeans that are just the right amount of baggy paired with a classic shirt and a pair of bold Mary Janes.

Yesterday, the ever-fashionable Holmes rocked a new outfit formula—and apparently, she liked it so much, she wore it twice in one day. First, attending the Christian Siriano Fall/Winter 2025 fashion show at Chelsea Industrial, she donned a beige silk midi skirt with an asymmetrical tiered hem. She paired the skirt with a white t-shirt, which she wore untucked, and a black blazer. She completed the look with a pair of slouchy black leather boots, a black handbag, and statement silver earrings. She wore her hair in a center-parted low bun.

Later in the day, while attending the L'AGENCE NYFW presentation, Holmes recreated the same outfit formula with a brand new look. This time, she wore a long black silk skirt. Instead of the black blazer, she wore a suede blazer in a dusty blue color. She also swapped out her silver earrings for a pair of gold earrings. She kept her hair, bag, and t-shirt the same.

Holmes' latest two outfits mark a change from her easy-going street style. Then again, when she's going "out out," Holmes always knows how to elevate a look. Earlier this week, she wore a plunging strapless LBD while attending a Michael Kors cocktail party. A week prior, she donned a striped collared shirt backwards for Patou's fall 2025 runway show during Paris Fashion Week.
