Veteran BBC presenter John Stapleton has revealed Parkinson’s disease has “frustratingly” affected his voice.
The 78-year-old, who was diagnosed a couple of months ago opened up about his symptoms to Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley on Good Morning Britain on Wednesday (23 October).
The former Newsnight journalist said he had started with a tremor and had difficulty swallowing.
Stapleton said: “My voice has lost a lot of its relevance.
“I am seeing a speech therapist, but it is very frustrating.”
