Farmer Wants a Wife star finds love with another farmer after shock twist: 'Love of my life'

Farmer Wants A Wife contestant Karli Hinkley has revealed her new relationship, after initially being the fan-favourite tipped to win Farmer Bert's heart. The brunette beauty (who many fans compared to Meghan Markle) was one of the ladies left blindsided after Bert decided to leave the dating series solo.

Caitlin Crank, and Brooke McCallum were the other two women who were still paired with Bert when he left, and rumours about his love life since his exit from the show have been going wild. It was even reported that he had reconnected with Lauren McNeil, who chose to leave the series after struggling with the competitive element of the show.

Despite all of the drama, it seems that Karli has still managed to find her happily ever after...with another farmer!

Taking to her Instagram to show off her handsome new man, Karli captioned the photo carousel 'Love of my life ❤️."

The lucky man in question is a chap named Mitchell Gorman who, according to his LinkedIn profile is a "Senior Agronomist with a demonstrated history of working in the potato industry. Skilled in Soil health, Potato Pathology, Hydrology, logistics and environmental sustainability. Bachelor of Science - focused in Environmental and Agricultural Science."

Insider reveals Karli had to keep her relationship a secret

The sweet announcement comes after a close friend of the reality TV participant revealed to Yahoo Lifestyle that Karli, who is currently based in Geelong, "is contractually not allowed to publicly reveal any details about her new relationship and will have to wait a few more months before she can go public".

"The show wrapped in December last year and Karli was actually done with filming in November. She has had plenty of time to put the show behind her," they add. "The final edit has been quite cringeworthy at times but with her heart and mind elsewhere Karli has been happy to laugh it off and play along with Channel Seven.”

The insider also revealed that Karli is 'very happy' in her new relationship and, judging by the comments that flooded her post, it seems she has plenty of support from family, friends, fans - and even former competitors who were once vying for Bert's heart.

Lauren McNeil responded with three emojis writing, "😍🥹❤️"

"Congrats Karli, you found your man… enjoy your journey together💙💜," one fan added.

"You were my favourite on FWAW and this man is way better, congratulations," said another.

"You look soooo happy! You deserve it lovely!" a third chimed in.

Who is Farmer Bert dating now?

As for Bert, his exact relationship status is currently unknown, but he told New Idea: "You never know what’s around the next corner. Hopefully, at some point or another, I bump into that person that’s going to change my world. It’s never definitely off the table.

"Right now, I am pretty bogged down; but hopefully there’ll be a bit of time off later in the year and we’ll see where that goes. When the time’s right, I’m sure it’ll happen."
