Bindi Irwin's bittersweet tribute to Steve Irwin: 'Tears in my eyes'

Bindi Irwin has just shared a touching video of her daughter Grace Warrior, saying ‘hello’ to her parents at Australia Zoo.

The video shows Grace, one, walking up to a giant photo of a young Steve and Terri Irwin posing with a koala, before giving ‘love’ to all three in the image.

“Tears in my eyes as I share this video,” Bindi wrote on Instagram.

“We call my mum and dad, Bunny and Grandpa Crocodile with Grace. She loves them (and koalas) dearly. On every zoo walk she searches for pictures of her grandparents and it is beyond beautiful.”

In the video, the Wildlife Warrior can be heard talking to Grace as she totters towards the picture.

“Love for koala, and bunny and grandpa crocodile. Good girl, he would’ve loved you sweetheart. Do you love them?” she asks Grace.

“Oh Grace, you are the sweetest,” she tells her daughter.

Fans were so grateful that Bindi shared the ‘precious’ moment, with many saying they were in tears themselves.

“Why did I just cry my eyes out! So beautiful, I just love her. We all still hold Steve close in our hearts too, lil mate,” one wrote.

“Now that we’re all sobbing, this is the absolute sweetest. I love that you keep your dad’s memory alive with sweet Grace. This is absolutely beautiful and what a way to honour your dad,” added a second.

“Oh Bindi, thank you for sharing this special moment with us. I can’t hardly type, I’m in a mess. I adored your mum and dad’s bond,” another commented.

“This is literally the sweetest thing ever. So precious,” a fourth chimed in.

Bindi debuts her dramatic hair transformation

This comes after Bindi wowed fans with her brand new look.

While celebrating her 24th birthday on the Sunshine Coast, she shared some photos that showcased her chic shoulder-length bob.

Bindi posed for photos on a picnic rug with her one-year-old daughter Grace Warrior, husband Chandler Powell, mother Terri and brother Robert.

She styled her new ‘do in a side part and swapped her iconic khakis for blue jeans and a plaid shirt, which matched Chandler’s outfit.

“The last year has been filled with enormous growth, unpredictable/challenging times and above all, love beyond my wildest dreams,” she captioned the gallery of snaps.

“Without them realising, my sweet family has given me the greatest gifts this year through their extraordinary actions each and every day.”

Bindi went on to thank each member of her family, including her daughter for sharing “the gift of finding beauty in all things and running towards happiness with an open heart”.

“I’m grateful for another trip around the sun and another year to do my best making difference in this world,” she added. “Thank you to everyone who is part of my journey, I’m tremendously thankful for you.”
