Kyle Sandilands returned to Australia this weekend after spending over two weeks living it up in the US where he broadcast his KIIS FM radio show with his co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson. The pair, who have been struggling to make their mark in the Melbourne market after launching earlier this year, spared no expense as they spent time in Las Vegas and Los Angeles alongside Kyle’s wife Tegan, their son Otto and three members of their radio team.

Yahoo Lifestyle estimates the shock jock’s luxurious trip came with a price tag of around $250,000 after splurging on first-class flights, luxury rentals and an armed security team.

Former Playmate-turned-realtor Kendra Wilkinson revealed during an interview on The Kyle and Jackie O Show that the house is worth $29,000,000 and is one of the most sought-after pieces of real estate in the Hollywood Hills.

Kyle also gave a tour of the property on Instagram, telling his followers that the property came with its own poker room, bar, home studio, and pool overlooking downtown Los Angeles.

Speaking on-air from America, Kyle revealed that he’d hired an armed security team to guard the property and protect his family after fearing for their safety in the country, costing tens of thousands of dollars a week.

Meanwhile, the shock jock said he’d spent $23,000 (US$16,000) on a team dinner at high-end steakhouse Papi Steak in Las Vegas ahead of newsreader Brooklyn Ross’s on-air wedding.

Kyle was also filmed in an Instagram Story handing his casino winnings of $450 to a random passerby as he “did not have time” to cash it before broadcasting the show.

Kyle’s expensive trip comes just a few weeks after he revealed his eye-watering salary live on air. There’s been plenty of speculation about how much money the 53-year-old earns each year after he and his co-host Jackie announced they’d signed a new 10-year deal with KIIS FM in November.

While it was initially reported that their new contract would see them each make $100 million over the next 10 years - with an annual salary of $10 million - Kyle has now revealed this is untrue. In fact, he said they’ll actually be making substantially more money.

“I can’t live with the lie, it’s underreported. It’s actually about another $50 million each,” Kyle said, which means the pair will take home $15 million a year each.

As Jackie protested at Kyle revealing their personal negotiations, Kyle continued: “I’m just saying, let’s cut through the bulls**t. And we get that because we’re good [at radio].”

The new contract, which is said to be the biggest deal in Australian media history, will take The Kyle and Jackie O Show hosts to December 2034. The duo also have a clause in their contract that allows them to broadcast the show “anywhere on earth” at the drop of a hat - which is why they were allowed to record from the US.
