Are MAFS' Jacqui Burfoot and Ryan Donnelly still together?

Married At First Sight’s Jacqui Burfoot and Ryan Donnelly have had quite a rough start to the experiment, with each of them finding faults in their partner and questioning why they’ve been matched. Confessions Week saw the couple move in together and adjust to married life, and they immediately butted heads over Ryan’s approach to the photo ranking challenge and Jacqui’s comments about her last partner during the ex-files task.

While viewers have begun predicting whether the pair will stay on the show much longer, it appears Ryan has ruined his own storyline by revealing his relationship status. The 36-year-old project manager is the latest participant to confirm his TV marriage doesn’t last and he’s already publicly moving on.

A fan of the show has revealed to Yahoo Lifestyle that she met the self-proclaimed warrior at a rave at The Ivy in Sydney on December 27 and they spent the evening flirting.

Ryan then reached out to her on Instagram in the early hours of the morning, which she believes confirms that his relationship with Jacqui doesn’t last.

“Ryan walked up to me, started chatting to me and we were dancing,” she details. “He then added me on Instagram and slid into my DMs later on at like 3am, but it wasn’t from his main account, it was a burner account. We were talking but it just fizzled out then a few weeks later I found out he was on MAFS.

“That night he offered to buy me drinks and stuff and he was commenting on my Instagram Story [afterwards], so I don’t think he’s with Jacqui anymore because of how he was behaving.”

Ryan certainly isn’t the only MAFS groom who has re-entered the dating world after filming the show last year, with his co-star Adrian Araouzou spotted “holding hands” with a mystery woman in Sydney’s CBD last week.

Speaking exclusively to Yahoo Lifestyle about the photos, Adrian claimed it was actually his twin brother James who was spotted with the mystery woman.

“I think people forget I have a twin brother and he is here in Sydney with me at the moment and he is single,” he asserted.

“We are identical and our haircuts are exactly the same. He doesn’t have long hair anymore, nor do I. We literally both have the same haircut right now. Leading into the show, we sort of knew that this would happen so we decided to get the same haircut because people wouldn’t know the difference, especially now.”

Despite these claims, Yahoo Lifestyle can confirm that his brother James has a sleeve tattoo on his right arm while Adrian’s tattoos are only on his left arm - and the photos feature a man without any tattoos on his right arm.

When quizzed further about whether it actually was his brother in the photos, Adrian had a rather telling response.

“I guess we’ll have to wait and find out, I don’t know,” he said. “I mean, it might have been a friend, it might have been my brother. Who knows?”
