Allen's announces new Peaches and Cream packet in Coles: 'My favourite'

It's a great day for sweet tooths everywhere as Allen's has announced the return of a much-loved lolly that fans have been pining for for years. If you have ever ripped open a bag of Party Mix only to rifle through the contents in search of the holy grail, aka a Peaches and Cream, then you will be happy to know your troubles are over.

Peaches and Cream - the delectable treat that combines a fluffy cream base and a delicious dollop of peachy-flavoured jelly on top, is now available in its very own bag, after more than a third of Allen’s lolly flavour requests in the last year called for the comeback. According to Nestlé Head of Marketing Confectionery, Melanie Chen, the sweets were last available in their own bag in 2019 and have since been the most requested lolly for the confectionary company to bring back.

Fans demand return of Peaches and Cream

"Peaches and Cream has always been a fan favourite and it’s clear they’ve been dearly missed," Melanie told Yahoo Lifestyle. "We’ve received countless requests for Peaches & Cream to relaunch in their own packet for around five years so it’s very exciting to be able to bring them back to shelves just in time for the holidays."

Allens teased the big return online recently, promptly sending fans into overdrive.

"Where can I sign a Peaches and Cream petition," one person asked.

"Look my 21st is soon and all I want is Peaches and Cream," another pleaded.

"I've been waiting for these forever, I beg you to come out with them," a third person added.

"Literally my favourite lolly," another fan said.

"We know that Peaches & Cream has always been a crowd pleaser, so we’re not surprised at the volume of requests for their return – we love how passionate our lolly lovers are!" Melanie told Yahoo Lifestyle. "We’ve had fans call for ‘Justice for Peaches and Cream” with some even saying on social media that it’s top of their wish list this holiday season, so it’s wonderful to make that a reality for fans."

Allen’s Peaches & Cream will now be available at Coles from mid-December for $5 for a 170-gram bag. But, like with anything, you'll need to keep buying them if you don't want them to disappear again!

"The good news is that Peaches and Cream are available as a part of our range in Coles," says Melanie. "We hope Aussies love them as much as we do, so they stick around."

Shoppers react to news of return of Spearmint Leaves

The happy news of Peaches and Cream's triumphant return comes after Allen's brought back Spearmint Leaves earlier in 2024, much to the delight of fans.

"They are beautiful. So glad they’ve brought them back," one shopper wrote in reaction to the news.

"Absolutely one of the best lollies from Allen's," another person added.

"My favourite by far. Bring them on!" yet another wrote.

As for what other longed-for lollies could be making a comeback next, Melanie is remaining tight-lipped.

"We are delighted to be heading into 2025 with this exciting relaunch as well as some soon-to-be revealed new product news," she told us. "We encourage fans to keep on shouting for their favourites though!

"We are always listening to what lolly fans across Australia are calling out for."
