Wild phone call exposes The Block's Paige and Jesse's 'appalling' behaviour
The controversial couple were filmed berating Block Shop manager Nadia at 1am.
They may have delivered one of the best room reveals of the season during Sunday night’s episode of The Block, but Paige and Jesse have been called out on social media for their shocking behaviour towards one of the show’s employees. Viewers were left cringing when the divisive couple were shown calling Block Shop manager Nadia at 1am to berate her about a series of missing items in their furniture delivery.
The couple, who submitted their orders late and hadn’t checked the boxes when they arrived, accused Nadia of lying in the tense phone call. Jesse was furious that they were missing seven items and claimed that Nadia hadn’t told them about any delays.
“I told you to have a backup plan,” Nadia said. “The baskets have been delayed in the post, I said to you that they’re all coming from Queensland.”
“No, you didn’t,” Paige clapped back before the show replayed footage from three days earlier where Nadia told Jesse that they wouldn’t be able to get anything delivered from Queensland because it was a public holiday.

“I will not have you call me a liar,” Nadia responded, to which Jesse said, “Well sorry, I’m calling you a white liar right now”.
The carpenter then asked Nadia why she never told them that the lights would also be missing, and she claimed that she had let Paige know.
“You didn’t, I didn’t have a conversation with you that day!” Paige replied. “Nadia, when have you had all these made-up conversations with me?”
The show then aired previously unseen footage of Nadia saying that all of their deliveries would be made on Saturday before Paige ended the phone call mid-conversation
Paige and Jesse's awkward attempt to cover up the outburst
Following the 1am call with Nadia, Paige and Jesse were shown doubling down on their accusations against her.
“Literally, I’m telling you now, [she] has not had a conversation with me. She’s full of s**t,” Paige said.
Perhaps the strangest part of the couple’s explosive phone call was that even though it appears as though Paige filmed the entire incident on her phone (and supposedly submitted it to production to include in the show), they attempted to cover it up when chatting to producers the following morning.
“We actually had a 1am phone call this morning,” Jesse began before Paige elbowed him and said, “Can you not?”.
“With my mum,” he lied.
Are Paige and Jesse still together?
Audiences have been ablaze on social media with comments about the House 1 couple’s “appalling” behaviour on the show, with many saying that they should be penalised or “kicked off the show” for the way they spoke to Nadia. Meanwhile, plenty of people have also predicted that the engaged couple may have split after filming wrapped.
“Jesse and Paige will absolutely break up at some point... not the first couple to come undone by #TheBlock!” one person posted on X, while another said, “I smell a divorce on the horizon”.
Despite their occasional clashes, Yahoo Lifestyle can confirm that Jesse and Paige are still together and going ahead with their wedding later this year. The couple travelled to Europe with friends last month visiting the United Kingdom and Cyprus, and Paige shared a sweet Instagram post celebrating Jesse’s 30th birthday in June.
“Loved doing your 20s with you 🫶🏽 Happy 30th to the best man I know,” she wrote alongside a gallery of loved-up snaps.

“Paige and Jessie really struggled with the high pressure of The Block and away from that pressure the two are a very happy couple and get along famously,” an insider tells us.
“The network will always put the mental health of contestants as their highest priority and network executives are forever making changes to the way in which their process protects their contestants. Some people forget reality TV is only in its second decade. There is constant learning and the show should be commended for introducing the conversation of what it would look like for the couple if they walked away.”
