Thomas Markle Jr’s message to Meghan after Big Brother VIP exit

After being voted out by his fellow VIP housemates in the Big Brother Hotel, Thomas Markle Jr left an optimistic message for his half-sister, Meghan Markle.

The 55-year-old received all four votes to go home during Wednesday night’s episode when he was up for elimination against major game player, and former eliminated contestant, Ellie Gonsalves.

On the car ride away from the Hotel, Thomas remarked that the reality TV show was definitely “a life-changing experience”.

“It gave me the opportunity to cleanse my soul,” he said. “I mailed off the good letter to Meghan and it’s in the post.”

He continued hopefully: “The ultimate outcome to that letter would just be the smallest of any type of response whatsoever in any way, shape or form, as long as it’s positive.

“It may take a month, it may take a year. But if I get something out of it, I’ve achieved my goal.”

Thomas’ elimination comes shortly after he penned an apology letter to his sister Meghan and Prince Harry as part of a ‘secret mission’ set by Big Brother.

The US star decided to rewrite history and apologise for the previous letter he sent his estranged sister, where he called her a “jaded, shallow, conceited woman”.

“Dear Meghan and Harry,” Thomas began as he read the new letter out loud in the Big Brother diary room.

“The first thing I want to say to both to you is that I am sorry from the bottom of my heart for the awful mean letter that I wrote to you prior to your wedding. And I want both of you to know it did not come from the real person that I am, but came from a very dark and hurt part of my heart.

“I am not a mean person at all, and I have more love inside me to give than anything.”

Thomas went on to say that he was “very immature and wrong” for writing his previous letter, and he wishes he could take it back because he “truly regrets it”.

“I feel like a complete ass for what I have done and I am truly sorry for that,” he continued.

“I truly hope you and Harry can find it in your hearts somehow to accept my sincere apology, because this is the real Tom Markle Jr. I truly love you guys and I want you to know that about me. I wish you Meghan, and Harry, Archie and Lili, the happiest, most loving life possible.”
